Rumor has it, Harrison Co. shook the Rock fans a little last night at half time with the lead. As usual, the more talented team prevailed. It looks like Harrison Co. will be on the winning side quiet a few times this season after giving the Rock such a tough game at home.

At the Lincoln Co. vs Garrard Co. game, Lincoln revealed a strong running game. Playing in "Death Valley" is tough for any team. It will be hard though, to beat the Rockets with a running game. The Rockets have one of the best defense coaches against the running game in high school football. Not to mention, with a big line, including D-1 prospect #74 Durham and #50 Pigg. I agree that this will be one of the better Lincoln vs Rockcastle games that we have seen in the last few years. I will have to go with the Rock once more on this prediction. Rock-28, Lincoln-14!

This is just not a good time for Harrison County to get a win. They will be entering one of the most hostile environments in high school football at the Rock. The defense has proven to be Rock Hard!! The fullback, #38, I believe is made of rock. Rockcastle will pitch a shut-out with this one. Rock -21 Harrison Co. - 0

The freshman center from Rockcastle County would have to be one of the top ten in the state. He is 6'5" - 6'6", weighing in at 240 pds. I've seen him play and he is a true center, always hanging around the basket. He's a great rebounder and has a remarkable soft touch on his shot. He is worth keeping an eye out for.

The Rockcastle County freshman seem to have a lot of athleticism and talent. They have been holding their own quite well in the AAU circuit over the past few years. By the time they are seniors, they have a great shot at winning the 12th Region. Some of their top players....... center - D. Thacker 6'5", 240 forward - A. Prewitt 6'2", 165 forward - M. Bullens 5'11", 160 guard/forward - D. Bishop 6'1", 160 guard - D. Reynolds 5'11", 130 guard - J. Todd 5'9", 135 ....also with a deep bench. Some of the kids on this team could be sleepers. They have the potential to be rated as some of the top individual freshman players in the state. How does the rest of the 12th region freshman class look????

As a fan of the mountain teams, I think this could be the best Rock team in the Larkey era. Normally a tough game, but this year Rockcastle should easily walk away with a win against Corbin. As for the quarterback issue, Mcqueary is a tough and smart kid. He will not have any trouble following in Burkhart's footsteps. Let's hope the Rock has better luck this year with injuries. If so, they should make a big run for the State Title. :fight:
