looks like alot of talent in northern kentucky will be in this district again... who do you see coming out of it???

I dont think CovCath or Beechwood will have much offense. Beechwood's defense is much tougher than people think, yet CovCath has a great one also. I think it will be a conservatively played game by both coaches and CovCath wins 13-7.

Curly did great on the mound, he had 12k's and only 1BB. He did what u ask every pitcher to do and that is to allow your offense to win, and keep your team in the game. Beechwood hit the ball good, and played solid defense except for a ball that bounced over Sawyer's head. Congrats to the Tigers and good luck the rest of the way.

I will take Beechwood with all the senior leadership and the fact that they have been in big games this year such as a 9 inning game @ Applebee's park vs. Owensburough Catholic in the championship game for the All A Championship. I think Beechwood will win this one by 3 or 4, but if Ryle's pitching can keep the Tigers under 4 runs i think they have a chance.

Beechwood will be playing at Beechwood tomorrow, so all teams will be playing at there home field. Beechwood is not using NKU's field.

Beechwoods sophomore class won the freshman tournament last year, and wins the jv tournament this year. People think Beechwood will have a down year next year, but they could surprise a lot of people. They have good pitching with Elliot, Bankemper, Hadden, Gohs, and Hall. (all juniors next year) They have talent but will be lacking senior leadership, but look for them to surprise some teams next year.

Beechwood beats ryle 11-4 in the championship.

I will take Brossart also. My prediction is 7-2 in favor of Bishop Brossart.

hey, if you can get six more wins than last season, that is a great accomplishment. They have a ways to go, but i think with the new coach coming in and showing them that they can win, the players confidence will grow and they will begin to win even more and play harder. Great job Tigers.

Dixie defeats holy cross 7-4 and beechwood is up 12-3 in the bottom of the 5th... The game was called due to the rain and will be made up tomorrow.

I think that if the inning totals for both pitchers are correct, then both teams must forfeit. In that case make cov cath 1-2 in districts, and Beechwood 2-1, and beechwood tying with holy cross for a blind draw, if that is how they do it with a two way tie. I personally think that the whole game should just be thrown out, and not count.

I think Chas Moore from Beechwood deserves a little recognition, he is 7-0 with a .48 era... He may not be a top 5 pitcher in the state, but in my opinion he is in the top 25.

This game was a huge disappointment for Beechwood, i think that all of the games they have had in the last 2 weeks just caught up with them. Cov cath didnt exactly start off that great, but they finally got the sticks going in the bottom of the 6th. This game meant a lot to Beechwood, if they would have won they would have to play holmes in the first round of districts (a much easier game than cov cath or holy cross). Now Beechwood is relying on a blind draw to get the one seed. Even though this is a very big disapointment to Beechwood, I still think they will bounce back and win the 9th region tournament and posibly make it down to applebee's park for a 2nd time this year. Congratulations to Cov Cath on a big win, but I belive the tigers will be too much for them in the districts or region.

Were most of those 19 home runs on Danville's home field, due to the short field?

I believe Beechwood has cancelled due to them leaving for lexington tomorrow. It is a shame that they couldnt get this game in, it looked like it would be a great match up.

Someone told me that Dixie is without there best player due to injury, I don't know if this is true or not or who there best player is. I dont think the tigers will be pitching one of there top 3 pitchers because of the All 'A' tournament over the weekend. Either way, it looks like this will be a great game.

Pat muth pitched a complete game, only giving up 2 hits!!! He did a great job for the tigers. Beechwood had opurtunitites to bust the game open, but left alot of people on base.

This looks as if it could be a great game, seeing that dixie beat covington catholic twice, and has some other quality wins to go along with that. Beechwood on the other hand hasn't been hitting the ball that great, but when there offense is clicking you can easily go from tied to down 5 within a inning. Any thoughts about this game?

From what I was viewing at that game sunday, mutsch seemed like his fastball was only in the mid to upper 80's. I would have to say 85-88m.p.h. on most pitches, But he had great location with his fastball's and he pitched a great game. Not to say he is a bad pitcher or anything, but from what i have seen, he doesnt throw low 90's on a consistant basis, I think he may top out in the very low 90's but not consistantly.
