Bellevue Baseball - Its Back

Featured Replies

As one who loves a good comeback, let me say "hats off" to the Tigers of Bellevue High School. If memory serves me correctly, they went over a year without a victory. New coach comes in - boys play hard - they now have 6 Ws on the year. Remember, its all relative. 6 may not sound like a lot until you remember the very recent past.

Its a great start. Congrats to all of the boys.

hey, if you can get six more wins than last season, that is a great accomplishment. They have a ways to go, but i think with the new coach coming in and showing them that they can win, the players confidence will grow and they will begin to win even more and play harder. Great job Tigers.

The Tigers made a great choice when they hired coach Sanders and if theres one guy who can turn around a program its him.Theres no reason for them not to be a good squad with the knothole program that feeds the school at the Vets.Good luck in the future Coach....:ylsuper:

Bellevue is defintiely a program that is moving in the right direction. Congrats to them on a good turn around and best of luck to em' for more success in the future. Great things can happen in a few years, and from the looks of it Bellevue could be a tell tale sign of such progress.

Oh well one game does not make a season. The 18-0 loss to Campbell hopefully won't dampen the excitement.

Indeed, they will keep things headed positively. They have some good athletes there and are very young. There is a lot of potential down in Bellevue.

:thumb: Congrats to the Bellevue kids, picking up from last year's debacle. But, it's not like the Bellevue program was not respectable, or even good, just two years ago. Under Coach Runyan and his 10 years at the helm, they put some athletes on the field like Grant, Datson, Gullett, and the Bays, just to name a few. They are only a couple of years removed from being consistent participants in the regional tournament with several semi-final trips three and four years ago.:thumb:

Dead on. It's a direct result of Coach Sanders teaching kids the game of baseball and selling his philosophies. He's done a great job and IMO will continue to do so for years to come.

Coach Sanders has really helped this team out and will continue to improve the program down there in Bellevue. They are very young this year so in 2 years i expect them to be back where they were several years ago.

Good to see the Black and Gold Tigers get some wins this season. Hats off to the boys that were on the team last year and came out again this year.
