Next year CCH & HC will be very tough. Beechwood will be good again too, but probably not like this year since they lost so many seniors. I'm not sure about Holmes but I don't think they'll be as good as these three.

With all this in mind, I think CCH & HC will go to the regionals, but you never know especially in baseball. A mediocore team with an awesome pitcher can always win one game against a superior team and it only takes one district win to get to the regionals!

I would love to see BW in regionals this year but its kinda hard when you lost a load of seniors from the year before and its even worse when you don't have even on senior during the season. BW is a very young team this year but they have shown to be a good team as freshmen and JV squads. They will have to depend on pitchers Bankemper, and Heddon and outfielder Cody Elliot to carry them this year. (All are juniors)

IMO HC will be the most experienced and CCH will be the deepest. I know nothing about Beechwood other than that they lost a lot.

How many of those "super sophs" for CCH will be in the varsity starting lineup this year?

Time will tell; I would expect Isler, Maile, Nutini, Holocher and Sainola to see a lot of time; Darner, VanSant, Hartmann and Shover could also make their marks; it will be interesting to see what this group actually does. Maybe not as sophs, but Jr and Sr years should be impressive if any of the speculation I've heard comes to fruition. I have seen this group play in summer ball and at the least, it is fair to say that they can help this team in 07.

This SOPH class has a chance to leave their mark at CCH. My only question is the pitching depth. They're going to have to get help from other classes.

I think that is the question. I would expect Nutini and Sainola to have decent outings; both throw in the mid 80's, and both change speeds and hit spots; Isler will be coming back from elbow surgery, if he's back, he will be one of the region's best; I think Houlihan and Bleser will be strong; the JR class has Niehaus and Wehry...I know I'm forgetting somebody. If the Colonels can get some consistency out the pitching staff; they will be a very strong squad.

I should have been more clear. My comment was looking down the road when the current SOPHS are Seniors.
