Another good win for this young group of Royals. The Eagles took the fight too them early, but Rose Hill just wore them out. The Eagles were dragging by the 4th quarter. That Rose Hill press sure does wear those teams down. I agree with LRCW. That young Bush boy was who got Rose Hill going early in the 3rd. He may be the smallest kid on the court, but I'd put his heart up against anybody in the region. He's one hard nosed ballplayer. Speaking of you guys sitting on the floor, I don't know what you did, but you sure seemed to have gotten into the head of that Greenhill official. He seemed to be taunting you guys as he left the floor at halftime. That might have been the most unprofessional thing I've seen from an official in the 16th region. Other than that I thought the officials did a pretty good job other than all of the jersey grabbing and walks they missed. Even this blind old man saw those from the top row of the bleachers. I know it's tough being an official, and these guys are doing their best, but they had to see those jerseys being grabbed.

I agree. It should be exciting come tournament time. I know Coach Biggs will have Ashland ready to play come tournament time. He's proven he's a great coach, and regardless of their record I wouldn't want to play them come March.

No one can hold a candle to the Swami. He was the best. I honestly thought this game was at Ashland tonight, and I think my prediction would have held true if it were. Congrats to the Raiders.

You are correct, I missed those two wins. Rose Hill is still better though, and I think you'll agree after East loses to Ashland tonight.

East Carter has one win over a team whose record is over .500, and that is Raceland whom they beat by 4. Three of the four losses have come against Fairview and Elliott County who Rose Hill is 2-0 against.

Well I'm sure glad I made the trip west tonight to see this ballgame. It certainly was worth the $20 I paid for my wife and two kids and myself. This was the first time I've seen either team play this year, and I came away impressed with both teams. Bath County really took it to the Royals early, and led by 10 at the half I believe. They stretched their lead out early in the third, and then Rose Hill started pressing. I wonder what took them so long to press because that is certainly what turned the tide in their favor. I realize that the Euton kid was taking a pretty good beating tonight, but I felt he should have worked harder to try and get the ball. He also didn't seem to be much of a factor on the boards tonight. I would have to think that Bath County won the battle of the boards tonight. I know they had several offensive rebounds. I also noticed that Rose Hill doesn't seem to do a very good job of feeding the post. Some of their passes tonight were just thrown up in hopes that Jackson or Euton would just go up and get it. I agree with the others who have praised the Clemons kid. He can definitely put the ball in the hole. He had to shoot around 60% from the field tonight. As Don King mentioned I was also disappointed in the way most Bath County fans treated the Royals during the trophy presentations. I certainly don't understand the boos toward the young men from Rose Hill. That was certainly undeserving, and you are setting terrible examples for your children when act that way. The Rose Hill fans applauded your young men when the received their trophies.

It's probably a good thing the one boy quit for Ashland according to happy ole dad, or Ashland may have lost by 20.

I may try to make this game myself tonight. It should be a dandy of a ballgame. I think it's quite interesting that the 16th region's All A tournament had pretty much all of the top teams in the whole region in it considering Elliott County, Rose Hill, Fairview, and Bath County all played in it. Have there ever been two single A teams play in the championship of the 16th region tournament before?

So why did he quit? It seems like every time you turn around there's somebody quitting on some team. What happened to commitment?

Does that mean if West Carter played Bryan Station the Comets would win?

For Elliott County to be successful they must get over the Rocky Adkins thing. He no longer laces them up for the Lions. It's a slap in the face to all the fine young men who give their all for the Lions every game.

Is Rose Hill the best 16th region team ever? I'm not saying they are this year but what about next year if they continue to improve like they have from year to year. I'm just looking for opinions on this. Maybe the older prepsters can compare them to teams in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. They are very impressive this year but just think about next year, WOW! If they continue to improve the sky is the limit for this team. What are your thoughts? Should they be considered one of the best ever?

Maybe they should have contacted Cov Catholic instead.

Isn't this kid's dad the one that was kicked out of the Boyd County -Greenup County playoff game this year? It all starts at home my friends.

Congrats to Johnson Central on the win. A very tough season for the Tomcats,but I'm sure they will bounce back next year. I need some people from Johnson Central to help answer a question. I had a friend from Ashland call me tonight while I was at the Russell-Raceland game. He told me something to the effect of Johnson Central unknowingly using a couple of ineligible players during the year, and that they would probably have to forfeit some games. He also stated that Johnson Central had to win this game tonight to make the playoffs because of the games they would have to forfeit. My friend stated that several people from Ashland heard it on the radio from the Johnson Central radio crew.

I don't think we're in 2A anymore Toto.
