gold sunrise Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Ashland travels to Winchester to take on the Cards Friday Feb 1st. We should have 10th region ref, which lets the kids play. GRC defeated Ashland in the AIT 79-43. GRC has a big game Thursday night on the road at Dixie Heights. How do you see this match up?
spindoc Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 In another thread, I read where Ashland has several out due to injury and illness. I think that if they go to GRC in that shape, it could get very ugly.
mcpapa Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Similar score to last time if indeed several parts are missing for the Tomcats.
Dan Tanna Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Coach Biggs with have his Tomcats ready to play. I feel the Tomcats will have a much better showing this time, but in the end GRC is too tough. GRC 71 Ashland 57
jlaw Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Some years are more illness and injury prone. This year Ashland has been hit hard by both. If everyone can get healty, I believe the boys will have something to prove. They've lost several against good competition, but are just now playing with some passion. Against Boyd they, for whatever reason a 16/18 boy does, only played one quarter with that passion. Against East they played 4 qrts. I believe they'll have a chance for the upset and might be able to turn the corner. Ashland by 5.
Fastbreak Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 If for no other reason than the sake of the boys on the Ashland team, I'd like to see them have a good showing. The Tomcats have some fine young men in their lineup. I'd like to see them keep it close. :thumb:

GRC was in a zone during the AIT and that is the best ball we have played all season. Would love to see them start playing like that again.:thumb:

Would love to see them start playing like that again.:thumb: What kind of zone did Scott have them in? A 2-3, 1-2-2, 2-1-2? Are they playing strictly man to man now? :D;)
Bluegrass Will Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I think Ashland will not 'play with passion' in this game. GRC by 20+

And yes we do mix in man to man at times.

I know several of them, and for the record, I think GRC wins this game. I'd just like to see something short of a blowout. :thumb:
