Newport has to get past Beechwood first and then I think they make it to the championship game against Holy Cross. They have to avenge a disappointing loss to the Indians earlier this week. This tournament is wide open because for all teams you are never sure which set of boys is going to play the best. Good luck to all and let's make it interesting!

Newport has some really great players returning next year, but they are going to have to work extra hard to replace the 14-15 Seniors that were on the team. Good luck Wildcats !

I agree with you 110% on Housley. I wish him luck, but I don't think he is going to find the pot at the end of the rainbow at Holmes either.

I wasn' there, I was at another school function. I was getting score updates via text. I do know that Cody Collins made the game winning 3 pointer. I was very excited for Cody. He is a great kid!

Getting the volunteer help can be a problem, but I know at Newport they get a good turnout from the same people. It would be nice to have some other parents pitch in - but I don't think you can make them. They have to want to be there for their kids and all of the others kids too. Kudos to all of the volunteers out there at all schools! You are very appreciated.

It will be a very sad day for Highlands Football and the City of Fort Thomas if they do silence the cannon. It is part of a very proud and fine tradition that should continue. It is a shame that Mr Roller was injured, but let him voice his opinion on keeping it or not. We do live in a democracy still and it is sad day when liability insurance is the deciding factor.

Maybe a team is a slow starter or lost some very close games. Regardless of their record, if they fall into the # that goes to the playoffs - Good luck !

I agree with you 100% on this. It doesn't matter the miles or the outcome, you have to support the players and let them know that you believe in them.

From what I have heard, the bottom 2 teams will have to travel to play the top 2 teams from other parts of KY in 2A in the first round while the top 2 play at home.

I think this one will be close, but I have to give the advantage to Lloyd. They have played a tougher schedule than Bellevue.

Brossart did play a very good game Saturday night. The game was a lot closer than the score indicated. Ludlow only had 13 points midway through the 4th quarter it seemed. I am sure the Mustangs just got tired. Hats off to them, they never gave up!
