  1. Shane Battier Corliss Williamson Corey Beck Miles Simon Christian Laettner Bobby Hurley Who was the lefty point guard for Michigan State that played forever?
  2. Does anyone know SMSU's points off turnovers last night? I think they problem guarding the three is due to turnovers and bad transition defense. I see a ton of three's attempted on fast breaks and secondary breaks. Their transition defense is what I see as really bad not so much their half court defense.
  3. Check out the highlight video: Sickest player in the country John Wall. If we get this kid, we are back in a big way. He could be the second coming of Derrick Rose.
  4. If memory serves me correctly, didn't Calipari say something to the effect of: he wouldn't count out taking a look at the job, on Jim Rome is Burning two years ago? Could someone please tell me if what I remember pertained to the Kentucky coaching position?
  5. Is there anyway Darius Miller can quit, get his GED, and be on the court Sunday?
  6. The "Baked Carota", found at Carota's Pizza in Augusta, Ky.
  7. I want a shot PK. I have been on a tear of late.
  8. Ethan King continues to be the most consistent player on a team of inconsistency. He did a really good job on Portwood last night. I believe Coach Hicks deserves the credit for this win. He made sure the game went at his pace and made sure Miller played as little as possible.
  9. I would give my big toe for an All "A" state title.
  10. What's the info on Mt. Vernon? Do they have any big name players?
  11. Big Dawg must have went bananas last night in the paint! It sounds like we need to correct some of those late game turnovers though.
  12. I see a ton of comparisons on this thread. I would like to join in and start comparing but it's very difficult due to Trevor's build. Trevor is a great shooter but I can't remember any of the great collegiate shooters (Reddick, Korver, Lofton, etc.) coming in their freshman season being so thin. I also think, however, that Setty's strength is very underrated as he tends to get some key rebounds and three-point plays in situations in which they are needed. As for the WVU rumor, I wish I knew more but my best guess right now is that it is just that, a rumor. Physically, I can't see him competing in the Big East until at least his junior season and I can't see Huggie Bear recruiting a player who needs two years. I really think he's an in-betweener. I would think a D-1 school would offer and not just NKU or Happy down in G-Town. Also, I am with others who think Middleton should have waited to sign. I think he may be playing out of position. To me, I think Russ would be a really good slasher at his height at a mid-major. He has mad hops and could come off screens and shoot that sling-shot from the corners and wings. I would love to see him at the two a bit more.
  13. The public address is always an issue at the ole cross-county shootout.
  14. I played under Coach Irvine and was wondering how well his son Zack is doing. He is sure to be a hard worker. Maybe someone closer to the Irvine's have a little info on Zack Irvine?
  15. I played for Coach Kelsch during his first three seasons (proud member of his first team with a winning record 00-01) as head coach and one when he was assistant. Even played for Rob when he began as an eighth grade coach. I owe so much to the man that it's hard to put into words. He not only taught me alot about the game of basketball but also about life. His loyalty not only to his school and program but as a friend is unmatched. Growing up in A-Town, I always wanted to be a Panther and to give my all for the school and the community. Then when I got there through hard times it should have been tough but you couldn't give less than your best when playing for a man with such passion and pride. I leave this thread with a phrase used by Robin which he learned from a person that will remain anonymous to this site: "Rock and Roll...If you don't like it...LEAVE!"
  16. I have to say that they do look a lot alike. The coach in the middle looks a lot like Bracken's girls' assistant coach. That's crazy.
  17. I still see quite a bit of standing around by the supporting cast in the half court. But, who needs a half court offense when you got a beast of a full court press? Seemed like everytime Miller and King trapped a CC player it was two the other way. And did anyone see the kid from CC that wore the Mutumbo, Nuggets throwback? He resembled McLovin from Superbad!
  18. Christian Laettner JJ Redick Joakim Noah Matt Walsh Major Wingate Corliss Williamson Wojo Bobby Perry and Sheray Thomas as a joint entry. We'll refer to them as Beray Peromas. And the dude from Charlotte who blew kisses after made three-pointers...
  19. Might I add that Matt and Jeremy (better known as their Tennisball alias, Uncle Matt and All-Star) honed their skills on the blacktop in A-Town and have made everyone who has ever played with them and against them very proud.
  20. A "loser"? He lead a team with Aaron McKie and Eric Snow (the worst supporting cast to ever make the finals) to the NBA Finals and put up a valiant effort against a dominant Lakers team.
  21. Danny Ainge is pretty bad in an NBA front office but is he worse than MJ? J-Rich trade made no sense! Let's not forget Kwame Brown...
  22. Just a couple SEC names to throw in there. Maybe you guys remember Alex Dillard from Arkansas. I think he may have only played one year for the Razorbacks but I remember him pulling from near half court against the Cats in Fayetteville. He pulled from anywhere. I also thought Chris Jackson from LSU was a prolific shooter. He was an all-around scorer and didn't care where he shot from. Wesley Person from Auburn was another dead eye during the 90's in the SEC. I don't think any of these guys did it with the consistency that Lofton and Redick did over a four year career. So I would have to say that they are one and two, with Gerry McNamara a close third.
  23. Give or take $700,000. This is well worth it financially.
