Was any of these open gyms for Darius open to the public? Did his Dad( a good player still),Deron Feldhaus,Chris Harrison participate? The article in the paper said former players and immediately thought of Feldhaus and Harrison when Pitino was in town. Please fill us in for those lucky enough to have been at any of the open gyms with the various coaches. Thanks.

Wow, no replies. Are these things supposed to be so hush hush? All these big time college coaches were in Mason County, but there has been nary a sighting or so much as a picture of any of them. Can't believe any of the Mason County BGPers didn't attend any of these open gyms and report how things went, who participated, etc.

You must live where the pony express still delivers the newspaper...... in the last week alone the Ledger had Coach Billy G, Bo Ryan (Wisconsin...if you didnt know), and Billy D in the paper. As far as former players, the only one I saw when Billy D. was in town was Wes Jones. The kid can still play, could play at the next level if the circumstances were right and if he could become eligible. As far as Chris Harrison, he never went to Mason County, so therefore he is not a former player. Last I heard, he is in Lex. working in sales.

Thought made myself clear, but here goes again. As I stated in previous posts, wasn't much in the Ledger(never is) for what would consider important appearances by RP,BD and BG. No sightings in Mason County at a restaurant, etc. nobody on BGP at the open gyms to report anything, etc. Also stated that when thought of Pitino, thought of HIS FORMER PLAYERS(Feldhaus and Harrison).

7th and 8th are strong, no Lofton's or Miller's, but good players.

Open gyms are open gyms which means open and you may attend so then you can make us all clear. Ledger did a pretty good job of stating what needed to be stated and that was the respective coaches coming in to see Miller.

It is a fact that Billy G and Billy D have been to open gym at Mason County. I have a close relative who took pictures with them both. The picture with Billy D is most humourous because my relative was wearing a Billy Gillispie t-shirt which you can now purchase at Hibbet Sports in Maysville.

Billy D would pose for a picture with a person wearing a t-shirt with pictures of Tubby,Pitino,Sutton and Gillispie on it because he is Billy D and don't take things so seriously as UK fans do. Maybe that's a little bit of the reason he's not here. There was a poster on the UK message boards that was supposed to have produced this picture of he and Billy D,but it never did materialize.

I guess we've both ventured into that thread on TCP.

So you can still buy UK shirts in Maysville?
