Who will be the pre season favorite to become the 2007/2008 Miss Basketball? I think it is pretty wide open.

Unfortunately after Thurs. game Casey went to urgent care with a very high fever (103). Went to the shoot around on Friday and got very ill again. She started but the coach pulled her early. It was a hard way to end a great season. But there is always next year. Should be a fun 9th Region totally up for grabs. And on a personal note I wish the best of luck to Drees and Dickman. Two very classy girls with very classy families. I for one will miss you guys immensely.

I wonder why these awards are voted on with the most crucial part of the season to go? I understand it was around the time SK knocked off Boone. On the other hand they should just let me pick the winner and simplify the process.

Coach K, the reason your AAU team does so well is they seek out the best and play them. SK should do the same and then I could buy into the COY award. We know how good some of those players on SK are why not let the rest of the state see them too.

IMO, the award is meaningless when it is dealt from the bottom of the deck. So in response to your question.........who cares.

And at what point in time before during or after Regionals did she not deserve the award? Seems petty to me. She has been rock solid from the first tip in November.

You think? Boone was the overwhelming favorite until about the midway point of the season. I am the most biased person on this board but Darpel is my COY regardless of the votes. Not that I would take anything away from Mr. Stowers but 28 and 4 with the NDA schedule is pretty dang impressive. Go Pandas!

Isn't the transfer conversation always good to save until the next season. Hours upon hours were devoted to this pre season.

The way I see the intentional foul call is simple. In the future CJ will go hard after the ball and create the foul. A great way to learn with no harm done. When the team trailing fouls this way it is seldom, if ever called. That's basketball.

As I understand the refs swap was an option but the paperwork to do the swap was not initiated. It is up to someone in the Region. And for the record, Jacy would be the starting point on any team anywhere in this region and perhaps the entire state. She is and continues to be a very impressive talent and a blast to watch.

Senior night was tonight against Ryle. Very gracious of them to come out in the snow and play the Pandas. My hat is off to them.

Why were the starters even in the game at this point? Nothing good could come from it. One of these nights a high calibur team is going to lose a vital player in the closing seconds to an unnecessary injury. Margin of victory means nothing unless your worried about the ratings.

Villa brought their "A" game tonight and defeated Ludlow by 6. Looks like the district may be a real toss up between Villa, Lloyd, Ludlow and Dixie.

Anyone have the games schedules of the Freshman tourny? I think NDA plays Princeton first but other than that I am like the guy from Hogan's Hero's........I KNOW NOTHING.
