cootyb25 Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Boone County coach Nell Fookes achieved her 500th victory last night at Holmes High School winning a close one 52-49. Congratulations to one of the best High School coaches in the state and best of luck Rebels the rest of the year.

Play hard as this is the last game to be played in the old gym. It would be interesting to know both the girls and boys records in this gym since it opened, but I'm sure the records are incomplete. It's kind of a shame that 50+ years of games leave withoui knowing such things, but years ago no one kept the kind of records they do now.

The best Coach in the Ninth Region be it the boys or girls game........ and I do remember your first season at Boone County oh those many, many years ago....... He built a gym that his unborn Daughter in-law would make history in over 50yrs later. Now that is the definition of a very small world.
