Hicks is a really good player & does what is needed of him!!

Calm down Den, all I was saying is that the "offense" that I heard may not be correct!! I do not know for sure what the offense was so i cannot be completely sure that it was what i heard. Another question, They havent "tested" long so this hasn't happened right?? & there have been others in the past that were kicked off for about this reason & let back on.

What about Kenny Bell @ wolfe. he's coaching the girls varsity but i've heard his name mentioned several times about his coaching abilities??

I agree Bigzig!! Doesnt seem like anyone is accountable for there actions & parents allow kids to get by with WAY too much!! I hear kids smart off to parents & back in the day, they would have got there head "chilled." Parents act no better to "authority" figures such as coaches, referees & administration!!

Very surprise but Leslie may be the team to watch in the 14th!! Leslie, PCC & Lee appear to be the main front runners in the 14th.

Is it me or are MANY parents in little league or youth leagues the WORST!!! I mean these kids are under 10 & they act like its the world championships!!

From what i have heard, there were 2 players dismissed from the team and will not return. I know in Wolfe county will not return may mean a day or a week but I dont think the school board could allow these players to return.

What kind of middle school, freshman & jv do they have?? Are there some players that will step up in a few years??

Wasn't health a problem with bobrowski at owsley?? I'm thinking someone said he was a diabetic but that may be wrong. If so, would this be something that he would be willing to do?? I agree, if he's healthy & willing he would make a great coach for any school!!

My information is VERY reliable!! If it wasnt wolfe county and a creech coaching there in, any other coach would have already been fired!!! This team has went through some turmoil that has brought several things out into the open & i've heard than many in Campton do not like it!! The coach has ties & i dont know how big the roots are but just keep it in the back of your mind!!

I meant that they have taken on a different persona after winning the title. That was a crazy game & i do feel that Breathitt was robbed. Who would have ever thought Baker would have ended up at Powell after that. He has made Powell a very solid defensive team. Not taking anything away from Coldiron but i see a lot of baker's influence in the Powell team in recent years.

Its has been rumored that Owsley, Breathitt, Knott and possibly Wolfe may be seeking a coach. I feel that Trusty would be a very good coach & someone each of these schools should contact. He may not go but it would be worth the chance.

I've heard his name come up several times. He seems like a good guy and a good coach. His name didnt come to mind when posting!! This might be the type that an Owsley or Wolfe might need to rebuild?? Young guy that teaches defense!!!

Who are some assistant head coaches, junior varsity and freshman coaches that some feel would make good head coaches?? It could be either next season or a few seasons from now. Some of these coaches dont get the credit that they deserve!! I think Kent Campbell @ PCC would make a really good coach. Also Baker in Powell has really helped since he got there a few years ago. His defensive style really helped propel them to the regional title in 2003!! Any others??

He has stuck through the bad times & built a decent program that should gain steam in years to come. You seem up to date on lee county, so what are your thoughts that Coach Wright may entertain offers from other schools?? does he want to leave?? Sixtyfeetsix seems very forthright about wanting him to come to Owsley. What do you think BBK?

So Owsley was in support of Hicks?? I did not get that impression while he was the coach but thanks for clearing that up!!

Wasn't Coach Wright in the Lee School System and just given the job b/c they did not want to recruit one?? That just what i heard & if so Lee was VERY LUCKY in getting such a quality coach!!!

Didnt they do this once with Hicks?? I dont think he was inhouse but might have been?? If he wasnt this might make them wonder about finding a coach since he apparently wasnt suited for booneville.

What if Smith didnt return to Owsley?? Would a principal, vice principal or central office job be waiting bobrowski's return?? I think there is too much water under the bridge but it would be worth a try to get timbob back in boontown!!

I was checking to see west virginia's basketball schedule but there isn't one. I looked at matewans website & they dont list them as having a basketball team?? Please someone from JBS clear this up!! This seems very very fishy??

I'm pretty sure i checked the KHSAA site & saw a score for that game b/c Matewan, WV just stuck out & made me wonder who they were & were they were located. What kind of a team does Matewan have??

If these prove to be true who will be the next coaches in line for these spots? Wolfe-Rudd has been there for a while, also kenny bell has been successful?? Hall?? Owsley-I'm sure the days of bobrowski would be nice but i think there is too much water under the bridge for his return?? Hall??? Hazard-I've heard from several that Holland is gone in PCC & is going to hazard but seems too hard to believe. Campbell has Perry co roots & may apply for the job. Breathitt-I think Hall is a great coach & person. I think expectations have gotten the better of him & his team. His team is primarily sophomores (so a JV team) & playing WAY above their heads. they will be good in 2 years, so they need to give Hall a break. If they get rid of him, who will be the next coach? Bobrowski is in the school system & Lively has sprinted up the ranks at Jackson City.
