Mason will probably win the game but you havent watched JBS play if you think they dont have any talent or athletes. I am not sure what you consider talent but they start at least 4 kids that will play college ball.

I agree that experience will help June Buchanan this year because the guys they played in last years tournament are all back this year and also they will have 6'9" Garrison Collins and also 6'6" Trey Short and Brent Hall inside that will give them the biggest inside game in the mountains.....

June Buchanan is loaded and should be considered the favorite if they play good team ball......

That June Buchanan team is flat loaded.....They have tremendous size and great guard play.....

I watched June Buchanan play this summer and think they could go far in the ALL A if they get there....

I think June Buchanan will have the best defensive team after the return of Garrison Collins and also I hear they have had some of last years underclassmen that have shined in summer ball. They will have alot more size than last year which is hard to believe.

I hope that Knott County can turn their program around but it is going to be tough to be in the same district with June Buchanan for the next 4 years.

June Buchanan has 4 or 5 kids that will play college ball at some level but it really takes a special player to play at the D1 level. The main thing these high school kids need to focus on is getting a good education because the chances of them making a living playing basketball is almost zero.

It would actually be legal if the player has a legal change of residence. It happens all the time other places.

JBS is not like Leslie at all except of the fact that they will be the preseason favorite to win the 14th and return their players from last year. As far as team structure they could not be more different. Leslie relied on a strong inside game where as JBS will have a much improved inside game but are more versatile with 5 or 6 kids that can shoot the three. Another thing about JBS is that most of their kids dont play other sports so they can concentrate on basketball. They will be much improved from last year and will be fun to watch..

I feel the Hazard program took a step backwards today regardless of who they get to replace Spurlock. I think he was a great coach and asset to the program...

That is a very accurate reply and most people would agree that Leslie had the best team last year and they didnt win. I think June Buchanan will work very hard to make sure history does not repeat itself this soon....

I think June Buchanan will have the best team by far but the best team does not always win. They still will have a relatively young team but have alot of experience. They have tremendous guard play and could have a dominating inside game this year also. They have huge size for such a small school. Hazard will be solid but I think will rely on Hicks too often. When Hicks is on they are very good but if he has an off night they could be in trouble. Perry County will play alot of new players and time will tell how they do but Coach Holland always puts a good team on the floor. I had a coach tell me this week that he thought Owsley looked good in summer ball but I didnt see them play.

June Buchanan played Scott COunty the week before and it was a 7 point game. However, Scott Co. is an excellent basketball team and will probably be #1 pre season.

June Buchanan still has a young team but they play like veterans because they have played alot of varsity games early in their career.

June Buchanan went through the field in Lexington this week but could not pull off the upset over Scott County. THey have represented the 14th region very well with wins over Henry Clay,Dunbar,Tates Creek,Louisville Doss,and others in the last 10 days. June Buchanan won tough games over a very good a top 20 Louisville Doss in the quarterfinals and over Hazard in the semis but didnt have the firepower to beat a very good Scott County team.

June Buchanan did beat Doss by 8. They also beat Hazard in the semi and loss to Scott County in the final. June Buchanan was very impressive in the tourney.

i thought that Neal Feltner was a good coach and do not understand how a school system could let him go. They will not be able to get a coach as good as he was back because who wants to come there for two years and then get let go...

i hope he goes to UK and not Tenn like Chris Lofton....
