What does everyone think about these two games, glad mason county could make the trip to play 2 of the top teams in the 14th this year, can't wait to see how we measure up!

I'd say Mason over JBS by 25+ and mason over PCC by about 10 or 12. JBS don't have the athletes and talent to compete with Mason County.

Haven't seen either June Buchanan or PCC so I won't make any rash predictions; just have heard that they're two of the better mountain teams this season.

 

I do know that they should probably practice 6 on 5 to get the feel of Mason County's press. Thr Royals' strength this year, aside from the obvious (Darius Miller) is their depth; Coach O'Hearn has no reservations about going 11 deep this year to keep the defensive pressure on for the entire game if necessary.

 

Miller is still the key, however. He can be an offensive machine, his all around game has improved markedly compared to last year (playing alongside Mayo and Walker in the summer will do that), last night he had 5 assists and 6 steals. Coach will often have him at the top of the key playing defense; makes it tough on point guards running their half-court sets.

 

I'd love to get down to see one or both games, but it looks doubtful.

We have about 5 games before this so i will wait till there done 1st.One game at a time,But i do like our chances.

As much as I am a fan of the 14th, I'd say Mason County wins both of these games.

Mason Co should win both games but you never know.

That is an easy prediction,that 4 players will play college ball, since Alice Lloyd operates JBS. Also a couple of the players are related closely to the president of the college.

JBS does have talent, but it's a little different when you get out of the mountains.

I didn't say they didn't have talent, Tate Cox is the real deal. I said they didn't have the the athletes and talent(compared to MC) to keep up with Mason County. Middleton, Miller & Company are as talented as they get.

They are at the Perry Central Classic at John C Combs arena in Perry County.

I know Mason is heavily favored, but I wouldn't be too surprised if JBS pulled the upset.
