  1. I see the Rockets by a score of 37-14. Rockcastle has been in the hunt for the last 5 years at least. They get over hump and this game is the first in a vert successful season.
  2. Congratulations to Ron on a great season with everyone keying on him. Divisision 1, I don't think so. Not being invited to the Ky/Tenn All Star Game a shame.
  3. Why don't the KHSAA "step up to the plate" and demand seeding for all district tournaments?
  4. Paintsville.... No Doubt they are the favored after the DRAW. 2nd Choice would have to JC. Lawrence and Sheldon Clark would have to go three deep in the pitching rotation to win.
  5. UK next year will be a good team. Good enough to win a National Championship, doubtful? Good enough to win the SEC, doubtful? Do we get enough hamburgers in the recruiting race? Not according to the experts My thoughts are we wll be a much better team than we were the last 3 years and definitely go further in the the NCAA tournament. We have experience back at every position. The SEC conference will be tough. Kentucky could finish 3rd or 4th in the East. (I don't think that will happen) I think a little bit of the recruiting problem was the possibilities of early jumps to the NBA. Tubby went after so-so recruits that wouldn't make that jump. The NBA changed the age to 19 recently. Tubby will adjust to the recruiting problem. I think the starting line-up might be: Bradley Crawford Perry Morris Orbzut
  6. Do any of the teams in the 15th have a good low post player for next year? If they do that would be my pick. I know that Paintsville and JC need to develop someone down low. Paintsville's Williams and Central's Rice were both seniors and I think both teams need to develop a low post threat. That being said, 1. Paintsville - Kitties finally grow up to become Tigers. Bundy, Grimm, Pugh, Slone, and VanHoose all return. 2. Johnson Central - Everything but a Low post threat. 3. Shelby Valley - Talented youngsters should be enough with leadership from Juniors and Seniors. 4&5 - You pick them, I've done typed more than I intended......
  7. It's about time. It took long enough. Sheldon Clark has been a contender for the district title every year, with a few exceptions every year since it started football. 2A and 3A. Good Luck to Coach Hager and the Cards..
  8. Who pitched for Sheldon Clark? Congratulaions to the Panthers.
  9. I think I'll stay with my original ranking of Pikeville and 4 out of the 57th as the 5 best. Pikeville Paintsville Johnson Central Sheldon Clark Lawrence County Only 2 from the 57th will advance.... Belfry and Allen Central will definitely be in the regional tournament but do they have the pitching to win 3.
  10. I may be wrong but I believe this game was in Freedom Hall in Louisville. It was also the greatest individual performance I believe I have ever seen by a high school player.
  11. Put Pikeville in the 57th and take out Magoffin and you would have the top 5 teams in the 15th in the same district. Anyone that doesn't include Paintsville and Johnson Central in their top 5 surely doesn't follow baseball in Eastern Kentucky.
  12. Is this open to all seniors in Region 8? Has Johnson Centrals Anthony Patrick been invited? He placed 5th in the state at 135lbs. He did not win the region at his weight, placing 2nd to Murton.
  13. Kidd didn't pick up a foul to the 4th quarter. He was never in foul trouble. The point guard for BL was. His number was 13, Sorry don't know his name.
  14. The fresmen I think you are referring to would be Josh Allford. Saw limited playing time on JV team. Doesn't shoot like Steve.
  15. Johnson Central I think is going to Tates Creek
  16. Johnson Central had 2 other placers. At 140 lbs., Anthony Patrick took 3rd. At 160lbs., Thomas Hardwick placed 4th.
  17. No, They are a tlanted team, but, and I think no. There are not too many that repeat as Ky. State Champions. Go Cards....
