Tuna, yes. They were good blockers. Also used them as Tight Ends. They interchanged. In the Bone you can also throw the ball.

The thread was asked greatest Giridiron programs, so look at the word "greatest". Does it mean total wins, tradition Titles, impact for the kids, also a coaching staff. Diffent divisions for different programs. The smaller programs can have "great status" so comparing schools who are not on the same level. I agree with almost all the programs for the serious fan some need to be honest, every school mentioned is here for a reason. I've enjoyed reading about the schools.

What year is Joey? How long has he been the kicker? Sounds like he has it down. Good Luck to him.

Really hated to see it end like that, in watching the video (thanks for posting), your first step is always back on a flyball, you can always run in, and I believe he actually moved in a couple of steps before he back pedaled. Couldn't see if he got his glove on the ball or not. I feel really bad for him.

Do the Freshman teams ever scrimmage? I'd love to see a Male Bulldawg/Blue Birds have one. Dawgs are working hard. I loved going up there and eating pizza after wards and talking football with the Bird backers.

Six and half drive time to Hoover, its a bit far. Not sure what kind of team they will have, their coach who won a bunch is gone.

Enjoyed it. I saw more bad calls, its just my nature. A lot of blocks in the back, holding was kinda hard to tell. I'll be at some games this year, Ballard/Southen/PRP/Fern Creek/Seneca verses the Rocks.

As an ex offical I saw some non calls, the first there was two holds, the third block in the back, 4th lineman down field...its the way I look at games, I drive folks crazy by pointing out non bad calls. Now as a Bama fan I loved to have him he is a great talent.

Collegiate at one time was real strong, my kid played goalie at Atherton and when they played them it was a tough match. I forgot about them, but wll call them, CAL said no I was surprised. The lady at Brown said "yes" and I repeated my question...so who knows? North/South Oldham said yes, Oldham Cty told me wait until their try outs on July 15th, but he said he could let some JVs play. Several schools I spoke with thanked me for my imput I gave to them about these findings. They made notes, some schools said it might be late before they would know...I love talking sports with these folks, its all about the kids as my son will not even be playing.

Ballard will have a team, DeSales if they have the numbers, Kentucky Country Day also will field a team.

Rocks/X/Male/Manual/PRP/North Oldham/Oldham Cty/Brown/Jeffersonville will play with JVs/Butler if numbers are there/Moore if numbers are there/. Stll waiting on call backs from eight local schools. Not called were Lexinton schools. This wore me out...

Thanks, CC, I forgot about the three Oldham schools, I know soccer is huge out there. I'll be calling schools soon and I'll post my findings.

There is a meeting tonite and many parents feel there will be no freshmen team next year at Male, kids will try out for JV's. I've decided to call on every school in a 40 mile radius and ask them their status for 9th grade soccer for boys. Indiania/Bullitt Cty/Hardin Cty/Meade Cty/Private schools in Jefferson Cty, don't tell me there are not enough teams...

University of Louisville has camps, go to their site, we are going to the kickers camp in mid June, and had a son go to the lineman's camp.

Yeah, I agree. I haven't asked them as of yet. The camp at U of L said each kid bring six marked footballs. $$$. We don't mind kicking with two, after he kicks I want him to reflect on the last one and there is no hurry, (not now), so two is fine.

Some of the kids are working out conditioning on their own, my son has missed the last two weeks due to his school soccer team, and they happened to win the championship. So he will be joining them soon at the work outs. Only two more weeks, then the camps start and we are going to one at U of L and then dad's camp for kickers. Its so hard to find a field with goal posts that we can get to, they are all locked up tight. Male's fields, I'm not gonna ask to get on the main field or any schools's field, but a practice place is all we need and thay are also hard to find. Fern Creek/Bulliett schools/Moore/Catholic grade schools/ are in our area. The season will be here before you know it, and we only have two footballs, I need to get more so I don't have to run so much.

WKU is a D-1 one school and there is nothing wrong with going there. I'd love for my kid to go there after my other kid didn't and we had to pay for his schooling. Look at all the kids who end their careers and cannot play, and this kid can, be happy for him and remember the signing day isn't until february.

I read the first two comments and told Mama this thread is gonna be fun. A coaching staff would be a fool not to bring CC on board even if it is part time. He replaced a guy named John Madden for crying out loud!
