We had our first meeting last nite with the coaches. Just got a over view on what the kids will need before workouts in early June. Little Bulldawg camp, and so forth. I really like what I heard, the Coaches were so easy to talk to, and seem to really care about the kids and their safety/school work. I was so excited..I asked my kid 'how about you, you fired up"? he said.."I dozed off"..Imagine Homer choking Bart. I'm just kidding. He went out and ran in 88 degrees today. Any Male football parents out there let me know.. The Bulldawg camp is also for 7th/8th graders.

I'm 58 and I love Music, but if they play it so loud I just want to get up and go home. I usually try to find a seat away from the direct speakers. Its like the guy who says he was the first one to do the music with everyone saying "CHARGE". He says he needs to get paid for every team Pro and College that has used it. He is actually doing a lawsuit to every Pro and college team. In referring to GURU's question, how can it be controlled, and I'm not very smart.

Pat Sullivan won some award back in the early 70s. Jason Campbell is in the NFL. Thru their history they were known for their runnning backs. They have put many into the NFL.

We had 12 NCs when Shaun signed with us, and won one in 1993. He signed in 1995 I think. The NCAA has us down for 17 NCs. But we don't count some of those. 13 is were we are at. No comment on Auburn, (Cam stuff still going on) but hope he does well most of the time.

Here in Jefferson County for some reason there are very few freshman boys soccer teams. Some schools go with JVs and the freshmen can play but there isn't many spots. Does anyone who follows boys soccer have any info on their Freshmen teams?

Mama a die hard Cardinal fan has the Cats in the final four. She has beaten me again. The Cats early in the year lost at the Dean Dome by two, of course both teams are playing well right now, I picked OSU so I eat some crow UK#1Fan, but I also stated I don't pick well and hoped I missed this one. It unfolded as I hoped. I will pick the Tarfeet guys to win also for the same reasons. Go SEC! NIT to.

Best= Knowing I was a part of something special. Worst= head Coach ( I came out of the restroom at school with two buddies who had been smoking, as we came out the door the head Coach was walking the same way, he stopped and looked at me and said "I smell smoke". It was never the same. I have never smoked anything in my life) In out last controlled scrimmage before our opening game I was a safety. I had three picks and one for a TD. Two days later I didn't even get to dress out. (My family hates it when I repeat this story) There is an ending, but its boring.

The CJ did an article on the guard Sweat back a few weeks ago and it was a nice read. Kid came through big time. The game was close until early in the 4th. I'd love to see them take it. But I have to go with Eastern.

RP, I know several fans/coaches of public schools, most mention a "level playing field". I'll always pull for a team in side our county to beat teams from other areas. Sidebar.

Hoosier, why do you think some teams in Ky. choose to not put the Rocks on their schedule?

Does anybody know who the Rocks freshman/sophomore teams will play? With all the out of county teams they are playing. I know this is too soon to ask

Everyone made some great points after my comment. Shaun was an example I should have looked at, but he told me that Kentucky never really wanted him. SA loves Bama and is really happy with his choice, maybe I need to talk to the Pikes. Its like being a basketball player in the Bluegrass, we love our players/team/history/very nice people. (except for the tree hater).

RP, I was using an analogy as to winning/losing games that were important to a person as they were trying to win/lose a game in their life. We still kept score and I think you missed by meaning. When the Rocks/X play out side Jefferson County, I'll pull for them to win every time. I have even bragged on them to people from Alabama/Tennessee/Georgia. Hey, JACK who do you like as a high school team?

RP, remember my comment "walk in my shoes" I have been on both sides, I played on soft ball teams that rarely lost, we played other church teams that never ever beat us. We just played and won kinda like the Rocks over the years. I also coached a womans team at my wife's work and for two years got run ruled every game. if the Rocks record against the pubs wasn't so lopsided do you think we would have these conversations? Your team has done whats it supposed to do. Compete at a high level, but there is also a human side to that, and thats what you are facing now and from now on.

AT, I'm not gonna lie, and I agree with you on that. Look at any school and you can see the difference in the ones I mentioned. I have also seen Brentwood/Hoover/ others in Alabama. I also have traveled in my job to the Cincinnati area. Highlands too. My son played at Southern/FC/Seneca/Butler/Prp/ home field was Moore as a eight grader last year. J-Town little leaugue (Skyview Park) was actually better than a lot of these. Remember, a child can pick Male but they might not get in. Most kids who play for Fern Creek are from the West End, we do their FCA meetings for them.

Yes, they choose the school, in our system they can choose to go anywhere they want, getting in Male/Manual has guidelines. To stay there same issues. No, a child can leave his Cluster, the only drawback no busses, except for Manual. Never heard "St Male except from Rock/X fans. I don't lie. Key word here is girls, it takes time and money to take care of their fields. "Large cement structure," was it there at Durrett? I don't remember. We do have nice Safe Bleachers for both side. I hate setting at some places, thats a huge problem. Coach search don't know. Just stating facts that I do know. Same guidelines I was asking you that question, again I didn't know.
