Highlands seems first to me

I think I would put Male second but have to rely heavily on their pasts to give this high of a rank

Danville and Mayfield tie for my third spot, and sound arguments for both are possible

After those 4 I am struggling. Tilghman comes to mind, maybe BG, Ashland, Owensboro or

Corbin.

Not Trinity? You have really stepped into it now TP. :lol:

Trinity, although doesn't go back in time like alot of these other programs, you still have to include them with all there titles. No question about it.. Other teams that deserve recognition are St X, Tilghman, Boyle Co(see Trinity), Ft Campbell, Cov Catholic, Belfry, Bell Co, Manual.... I'm sure there's more, but, these are the ones that come to mind off the top of my head...

Like I said use whatever criteria you feel is the most important. If its just about results to you then all you would need to do is lists the programs in order of titles won and your lists is complete. That is one way to look at it.

I would agree, they get overlooked due to no longer being a school. Is there any link between them and X or T?

By the same token, you can simply pick out the programs that have been around the longest and slap them up there. Your top two were #1 and #2 in wins and your teams tied for your third spot are #3 and #5. This is a function of success, and also a function of each having been around since 1924 at the latest.

 

I'm not sure how St. X didn't merit a higher spot for you either. 700 all-time wins and more titles than every team not named Highlands or Trinity.

Not quite half the time since the championships go from about 1959, don't they? When was their first football team? Wins I would agree.

Kind of broad being able to use whatever criteria you want. How about this.....

 

Take the top ten schools in wins and the top ten in titles and there is your top 20. One appearance a school per top ten is allowed....meaning if a school is #1 in wins and #2 in titles then the #11 school in titles is added to the list if the #11 school in titles isn't in the top ten in wins. That way it is a clean top 20.

No way Trinity isn't in the top 5 IMO. Honestly I couldn't put them lower than #2, relative short history or not.

They'd be my #2 behind Highlands.

Clearly I need to add X and some on here have sold me with needing to add T even with a shorter history. Besides Highlands who in NKY should be on here and EKY surely there is others besides Ashland. I can seem to find a reason to add a Lexington team which is suprising
