I actually wouldnt call what PRP is running as Wing T...

PRP lost their starting center the Wed before the scrimmage (not that it made a difference in the scrimmage) so Newman had to play center as well as NG. He was no where near in shape enough to do that and was gassed very early in the scrimmage. LXC played well and PRP couldnt get any offense going at all.

He is that good and is only going to get better. He is a physical specimen. He is 6'1" and about 310lbs. He is probably the strongest kid in the state. He benched 365lbs and squatted 600lbs + as a SOPHMORE. He is a 3.9 student and a heckava young man. He has worked all winter on his speed and agility. He plays nose-guard in a 3-4 at PRP. They same thing ND recruited him for. He is the ideal nose in the 3-4, which was another reason he chose ND.

I can tell you you guys this...ND was his CLEAR choice all along. UK was second. BN developed a good relationship with Joker...and Joker was the ONLY reason BN didnt commit sooner. After UK, it was Ole Miss and Stanford. UL was never in contention...At the end of the day, BN liked everything ND had to offer...From athletics to academics. Plus he is ideal for the nose in the 3-4. Coach Wolfe's system is very similar to what Brown runs at ND to that transition will be a good fit as well.

I watched Raceland this year and I watched Russell...both are good teams....but my point is just because two schools merge does not guarantee a championship. THATS WHY THEY PLAY THE GAMES!

I would say Chuck Smith....without a doubt. Its not just what he did...5 in a row (by the way the ONLY one to do that)...but how and where he did it. He took a HORRIBLE program and did it. No disrespect to Harp, Beatty, Mueller....but they just continued great programs.

I know a guy who won one in High School and a couple of college rings as well but alway wears his HS ring and never his college ring.

I agree... I also didnt understand why Russell went away from the run in the 4th...they moved the ball very well with the run. Mercer never stopped the counter xx the whole 1st half....But didnt run it in the 2nd.

No way....I have watched a ton of teams this year and the ONLY team that I felt was as fast or faster the MC was Male. This includes....Trinity, X, PRP, Dunbar, LCath, Franklin, LCA, and several others. You could say a lot of things about MC...but I highly doubt RH is faster. But I guess we'll find out Friday.

You have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about. The fieldhouse was in the works long before the merger. It was part of them trying to lure a great coach. They had already bought the building before Jaggers was ever hired. I talked with a few coaches who were interested in the job for THAT reason. The merger did not come up until this year when HHS's super decided to retire. YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE!!!!

For the record...I do not live in Harrodsburg or have anything to do with MC. But I do know the situation very well... And to answer your question...all of the above. Donations, bonds, etc. Also, the field house was built for all of Mercers sports. It houses the weight rooms, track, girls and boys locker rooms and surface. It also houses the training room. I have had the pleasure of seeing it and it is special.

I have a question for the Russell fans...this is the MC/OC game thread. Many of the posts on this thread are from Russell fans. So I went over and checked the Russell/Belfry game thread and there were 0 out of 81 posts by a MC fan. This seems funny to me. Seems to me that Russell is much more obsessed with MC than MC is with RH. What gives?

CW...the surface at PJS is exactly the same surface at Mercers indoor facility. They should be very used to playing on that surface.
