knightsdad
PRP scored on a 35 yard run on the last play of the third quarter to ruin the shutout for Lexcath who won 37-6. The teams played it close for most of the first two quarters but LexCath finally got a score just before the half. On the next PRP series the Qb was sacked in the endzone for two more points to lead 9-0 going into the half. LexCath showed a lot of improvement on defense compared to last year. The offense also got rolling in the third quarter mostly because of excellent field position. PRP always seemed to start inside their twenty whereas Lexcath usually started around midfield. The Knights scored four Tds in the third quarter. Sophmore Greg Raglin looked like the next LexCath speedster and will be an excellent backup to senior Shane Israel at the runningback position. Will Letton was the most effective quarterback. The LexCath lines seemed to control both offense and defense and this was very encouraging. Next stop Trinity. :scared:
FANOFTHE11th
Sounds basically like total domination.

tcjkbt
If PRP was focused on this scrimmage, then the result is very surprising to me. The Knights are better than what I expected and PRP is worse.

The Knights are better than what I expected and PRP is worse.I don't know about that. Lex Cath is supossed to be #1 in thier class where as PRP is probably 3rd in thier district. A 37-6 score doesn't seem so unreasonable as the poster said it was 0-0 till the end of the half. PRP should be fine

PRP was worn down after two quarters and the incentive wasn't there to come back since it was only a scrimmage. They do have work to do on offense. Despite this I think LexCath supporters were pleasantly surprised whereas PRP people were not. LexCath dominated the third quarter about as much as one can. PRP can build on what they did to that point.

sportanalyst$
This score really suprises me, PRP was supposed to be for real this year!
kcubes
Both QBs played decent. The running game got going with Will in the game. The other kid couldnt get going due to holding penalties. His 2nd series there were 3 or 4 plays of 10 yards or more that got called back.
knights52
Knights defense seems to have improved from last year. Offense looks to reload and build on last years success.

GusMcRae
What about that lineman from PRP that committed to Notre Dame? PRP lost their starting center the Wed before the scrimmage (not that it made a difference in the scrimmage) so Newman had to play center as well as NG. He was no where near in shape enough to do that and was gassed very early in the scrimmage. LXC played well and PRP couldnt get any offense going at all. CharlieWeis
Year after year PRP says there going to be a very competitive and for the most part they are never. I think that they fight the same thing many teams in Jefferson County fight. Simply getting over the mental hump. There have been very few public schools that have been able to do so. You can see the air come out of their sails when a the first bad break or two happens. PRP's bark has rarely been as bad as their bite. They still run the Wing T, which will be tough business with their schedule.
