PRP fan here...I think the Panthers are set to make a run this year and look for them to have a big night Friday.

And what would the "false doctrines" you speak of be?

I would love to see MC open that offense up a little..and I am not talking about passing. Throw in the option, etc. Get in more of a spread look (double wing) and utilize those scat backs.

:confused: Fold??? So he took a team that had one like 2 games in 3 years to a 10-2 record (Regional Final and win over Beachwood) in 3 years...and you say they should get rid of him. Are you kidding me? What killed LCA last year against NCC was depth...not spreading the ball around. As a matter of fact LCA was pretty evenly split on the run-pass last year. I assume you probably didnt watch any GAME FILM last year...but that "WR" was double covered quite a bit. This post blows my mind.

Attended the game...was not impressed with either team. Both offenses (IMO) were anemic. PLD runs a ton of sets but seems to basically run the same thing out of each. MBA looked short on athletes to me. But then again...those are just my opinions. However, I did think the quote Coach Hensley had in the paper this morning was interesting...said he told his kids that this was the best team they would play this year...hum.

I wonder how accurate those stats are...if they are accurate and they have a lick a talent that will be the biggest Oline in state (add small college ball to that). Future looks good for MC.

LCA did lose all their skill players.

I have heard...staying with the Scottish theme...The Highlanders (as in William Wallace, etc). I think thats pretty unique and cool. I hope they continue to consider it.

Talked with some people last night who are in the loop...Mercer County will continue to be the name of the school but the mascot will change. The colors will continue to be Red white and blue. Mercer predom uses Red and White and Hburg predom uses Blue and White. The New school will make sure it uses blue more than MC currently does. From what I was told they are going to let the students vote over the summer on a new mascot. Didn't say how they were going to come up with a list but the students would have a list to vote from.

The man the county is named after...Mercer...was Scottish.

I think this will be great for the community...and sports too!!

Word is UK may be going to sport turf in the near future...If that happens then they may rotate.

I really liked CoachJ's idea (on another thread) of having 6 classes...4 even classes with a small 1A (smallest 16) and a Super 6A (largest 16). His reasoning was that the smallest 16 and the largest 16 are where the biggest discrepancies were... Made since to me...

I know PRP has just about everybody back with the exception of Brown. I look for them to be the one team too push X and M. This will also be another year for them to learn Wolfe's system.
