Could this be the best opening game in the state this year? Merger? Blending 2 teams? Playing a up and coming Lexington school? Playing on TV? Coming off the first playoff win in years. How could it get any better for Mercer Co fans?:dancingpa

I don't see this game being close to the best opening game in the state. Might be of interest to those in the Mercer/Harrodsburg area, but of little interest across the state IMO.

Maybe not the best, but certainly, one of most interesting opening games in the state.

Don't X and BG play the first week?

I believe T and MBA do as well.

Yes they do and it will have not only 2 top teams but 2 of the very best running backs and Mr.Football contenders. Should be a dandy.

There are serious questions about Lexington Christian, which lost a talented senior class. It's not a bad first-week matchup, but hardly one of the best in the state.

Don't know about this one. With LCA losing all that talent and the merger of the two schools, this one may turn out to be a landslide.

To all of us "Titan" fans, this will be a very exciting game. But, more importantly, it is going to be very important to the 130 or so players who will be representing the new football team!!!!!

LCA did lose all their skill players.

The game is on TV? If so, hopefully it will turn out better than last years TV appearance for the Eagles.

Again, we are not going to let threads turn into X/T threads.

I think it is a big game for some of the reasons mentioned but I like Mercer in this one.

How many kids does Mercer bring to the field? If I recall correctly Harrodsburg didn't field a lot of kids last year but the ones they did have played well.:thumb:

Harrodsburg went 3-8 and the teams they beat won a combined 7 games.

I don't think LCA is close to being able to reload after their losses from last year. This should be a Mercer blowout. I'll be rooting for the Eagles anyway.
