Are you sure it is a dead ball? I never umped but played long enought to see this several times.
What if the batted ball (after the batter was interfered with) goes into a gap and the batter could have easily taken 2nd?
The call I have always seen is: the ump signals for interference and the play is continued to see what happens. If the batted ball is caught for an out, the batter is awarded first. If the ball is played as a basehit; no harm/no foul.
It can only be interference if the ump sees it and calls it. Just unfortunate that in this case the ump is .... If the bat hit the glove it should be interference. The ump lets the play develop and corrects it after the play has been made.
If umps changed their minds everytime a team argued a call or non-call, the game would be a complete disaster.
I have to correct myself. The service is still scheduled to start at 1:00, but in all likelihood will start a little late. It is not pushed back to 1:30.
It is a huge news event, so I will watch.
The building with the concession stand and restrooms is horrible. Heard that the second floor (where I used to lift weights) is actually off-limits as it is in such bad shape.
How about Hal Mumme? Like him or not, it was when he became the head coach at UK that teams around the state started focusing on the passing game alot more.
I've heard that Dale has let assistant Charlie Barr go. Can anyone confirm this? He has a long history in coaching and I am sure he could help someone if he chooses to stay in coaching.
How much do these mock drafts and workout camps include foreign players? It seems to me that most, if not all NBA teams would keep their international "finds" top secret, so as not to let others know who some players are. Of course everybody knows Rubio.
What I am saying is that if you throw in a handful of international players in the draft, Meeks may certainly drop lower than these projections.
guy 1: Ok, so I know this kid on my block who is only 10 years old, but he is a stud.
guy 2: Yeah, he can shoot the lights out. Well, it is on an 8 ft. rim, but man he's worth a look!
Not necessarily the best way to look at it. As freshmen, you take freshman level classes.
As an athlete, we expect all players to come in and show they can compete with seniors.
We allow the opportunity for growth in the classroom, but expect to overachieve in athletics.
Anyone see this show?
They take some of the greatest warriors from history, analyze their strengths/weaknesses, weapons and tactics feed them into a computer sinulation to determine head-to-head winners.
Some of the warriors so far: apache, gladiators, ninja, samuri, vikings, pirates...
Pretty neat show!
For whoever has been to both Thunder and Cincy Riverfest, which is best? Please consider parking, viewing spots, length of show and music track (if thunder has it)>
Have never been to Thunder and am thinking of going!
