For those of you in NKY that remember the Scherpenberg kid who qb'd Indian Hill over Bellevue, note that he signed with D2 national champ Grand Valley State.

I , too, was a little surprised. I would think some D1 schools would be interested but maybe he wanted a chance to play early.

Who knows, maybe the kid just made the best choice for himself. Play at a lesser D1 school or a national champion D2 school. I might have made the same choice. not every D1 school is USC.

Wasn't the Bellevue faithful saying how he was getting recruited by OHIO STATE after they lost to him lol...Sounds like he is still going to a pretty good team though since they were D2 national champions. But that is a far way off from OHIO STATE or any other big school. :lol:

Yes, there was a bit of a misunderstanding among a very few Tiger supporters who had heard that the kid had already committed to THE university.

The "Bellevue Faithful" got the Ohio State information from the Indian Hill fans in attendance.

Not only was he leading the area in passing, but if you saw him throw a 60 yd. pass downfield with pressure coming at him, you would easily see why that story was so hyped.

Besides, who is to say that Ohio State was interested in him.

 

He obviously made a good decision going to a national championship team. How many players can say that?

See I dont even know why you would even bring that up, and try to get started on that.

 

Yeah I know we didn't win last year. But really what matters to me is that my senior year in 04 when I was playing we beat them when they was undefeated going into the game and brought them back down to earth, and then the next year in 05 to we beat them.

 

I know you all beat Ludlow last year, and you should have I mean you had a senior dominated team, while Ludlow lost all there starters from the year before so you should have won. But see now Bellevue will be in the same boat as Ludlow was last year with having to replace all their starters from last year. So we will see how you all do next year and the result of the game after we play.

 

As for the QB who is going to a great school still obviously and he must be pretty talented to go there, so congrats to him because that is really impressive.

 

The only reason I brought that up was because thats all we heard about all year last year was how the only reason why you all lost to them was because they had a QB who was going to Ohio State. Bellevue fans brought it up all the time, and even for the NCC game saying you played against a team who's QB is going to Ohio State so didn't think NCC offense would do much to them since they seen a kid who is going to Ohio State, but well we all know what happened in the playoffs and how NCC offense walked up and down the field that game.

 

So I just thought I would bring the point up about how he didn't even go to a D1 school none the less Ohio State Universtiy like alot of Bellevue fans claimed and we all had to hear about all year last year. :flame:

:laugh: Yeah I admit though I wasn't happy to see him have to bring up the result of last seasons game when they have lost 2 out of the last 3, and probaby will be 3 out of 4 after this coming year.

Bellevue did lose two of the last three, with Coach Gray at the helm. Coach Eckstein is a different animal to deal with. Does that 2 of the last 3 include the 8 of the last 10 that is in Bellevues favor.:flame:
