Check bmustangs.com for updates from Mustang. He had an interview with some of the coaches on there and a few pictures from practices. All in all it sounds like its going OK, but they could use some bigger numbers for the season. Sounds like typical growing pains for a brand new program that got a late start. I think Coach Carver has been dealing with some family issues and the assistants are doing most of the initial work, under his direction.

A couple of updates on the fledgling program today. BBHS added three road games to round out their ten game initial season, with the addition of games at Covington Holy Cross, Manchester and Newport Catholic; to go along with previously announced games at Boone County, New Richmond (OH), Bellevue and Louisville Holy Cross, and home contests vs. Scott County, Gallatin County and Grove City Christian. Also, apparently the Mustangs won't be playing their slate of only three (3) home games at Campbell County Middle School Stadium as was rumored earlier on here. Judging by the intense opposition by many of the Camel faithful on here in an earlier thread, this should make many in Claryville quite proud!! Location(s) of these games to be announced.

Did it ever dawn on the Brossart committee to get an agreement first before assuming the ability to play. Anyone in Alexandria and that probably includes most of Claryville can see new grass was planted and doing quite well. You have a field at St. Mary and it is common knowledge the boosters there will not let you use. How about down at your soccer field at pendry park? You have options but instead of lack of planning for where to play you now want to make it Campbell Co. problem. The people at Campbell Co have been more than fair. Unless of course you are dealing with the high school. That may well be a different story. This site allows for people to express opinions, you give it too much credit to think bluegrass preps plays a role in how things turn out

Yes--JV.

I'll not attempt to speak for the BBHS football committee, but I'm confident no one in that group ever "assumed" they would be playing their home games at CCMS. "Hoped" for cooperation on this matter maybe, but never assumed!! You obviously have more knowledge that I of the situation with the fields at St. Mary's; as you seem to speak for the St. Mary's Soccer committee, so I'll stay out of that as well. I'm sure one of the other options you mentioned, or another field will be secured in a timely fashion; as happened at Holy Cross and other recent startups. I personally think the football committee has done a remarkable job in a very short timeframe, planning the details of this program from scratch; and don't deserve to be accused of poor planning, assuming anything, etc.!!

I see nowhere where I mentioned this as a "Campbell Co. Problem", unfairness by anyone at CC or CCHS, or BGP playing a role in this???? To the best of my knowledge the CC administration has been very accomodating to Brossart, especially in the use of the middle school gym. No way I or anyone else expressed any of the thoughts you mention above???? I meerly tried to update Milfordflash on the happenings with a start-up program, and debunked a rumor I'd seen on here regarding where they might play their home games.

Stick to my comments, disagree if you wish; but don't just make stuff up to suit your agenda--Whatever that might possibly be????

Wow! It doesn't matter what the issue is you guys have absolutely no love for each other. The Purple and Gold mix with the Big Green like oil mixes with water! LOL

Not me man--I root for them all the time, except against the 'Stangs. Only defending my statements, and real opinions; not someone's fabrications!!

In that oil vs. water thing, I'm assuming the oil is Green--On Top!! :D :D

Interesting how mr. green seems to not acknowledge his options for the football team. Just wants to blame others for his circumstances to schedule home games. Isn't St. Mary and Brossart the same group?

where is that love for each other? Interesting, indeed. Fabricating? Doubtful, just factual. Unless you are saying they cant play at pendry or st, mary, then that makes my point. You fire shots all the time and claim otherwise when you are called out.

This is cut & pasted from my above post and seems to answer your question regarding options. What exactly are you talking about? Please explain your statements about "firing shots all the time", etc. Do you actually have a point??

Then you have a course to set about your job to get brossart a home field. Best of luck. But you may want to think about your attitude towards Campbell. Wear it on your sleeve you could be out of luck.

WOW--Brilliant Point!! I'm outta here!!

Two of the three home dates for Brossart, the middle school field was already scheduled with a Camel JV game and a junior league game. I would say that has more to do with it than any of this back and forth garbage being slung here.

Good points Soda, but look and you'll see only one "garbage slinger" on here!!
