I agree with this 100%. I would like to see the radius of area that the Trinity roster pulls there players from. It almost seems that there should be a private/independent and public school champion. If the boys of Boone can keep it close I see it as a win considering the circumstances, and thats the way it will most likely always be.

I don't feel the rebels can win this game, but I do feel that Farris will get 100+ yards. He did so his sophmore year on only 29 carries. Of course both of these teams have different players on both sides of the ball, but i think he'll get 100 yards in fewer than 40 carries. I also don't feel the coaches are looking to be able to say they had a 100 yard rusher against T. They are looking to do whatever it takes to win the game.

Cory Farris a 6' RB from Boone County who was the total work-horse for the night. 55 carries for 298 yards and 4 TDs and a 2pt conversion. Also played a big part on defense this week leading the Rebels past Alex Mathews and Shelby County.

Farris had 298 yards on 55 carries, and he played defense for a third of the game. Rediculous!!!:eek: Way to go REBELS!:banana:

Great game raiders. You dominated the play in the trenches. Farris had no where to run all night and Schmidt had a very solid game. Great game though Rebels. Glad to see Bogle step up early in the game. Both defenses looked very good. Real test for the Rebels next week. GO REBELS:dancingpa

My vote goes to Cory Farris from Boone County.

You can't say Farris wasn't a factor because even when he doesn't get his yards teams flock to him and it opens things up for the other rebel playmakers. Rebels in a close one 14-10.

Farris, Reed (Finished .500 with suprising pwer), Houlehan (Good hitter but speed kept him from many extra-base hits), Losack (Best JV hitter and should have probably seen more varsity at bats), other than those four IDK

In the same respect i don't believe a team like Beechwood, who has an independant status, should be able to stay in 1A due to their enrollment numbers. The realignment has basically made it a cake walk to the playoffs and state finals for teams like these.

SK looks to be a force to deal with in a couple years... Congrats Pioneers!

Boone vs Dixie mudbowls in both 05 and 06 I believe.

I know they won't, i said they would have to in order to have a shot at post season. I wouldn't be suprised if their team ERA ended up aroud 8.00+ at seasons end

There is no suprise who is on the tops of everyones ballets. Who is able to walk away player of the year this year... Farris Maile Elliot Nicohls And are there any more boys who might make some noise? I'm sure Dandy is bound to have some Ryle names to pop into this list.

I'm with you Mix. Boone will have a solid lineup that will be able to put up some runs. However, the only way they have a shot at postseason is averaging around 12 runs a game. Could see some really high scoring games in the box scores for the rebels next year.

I am very interested to see the outcome of this one as it might give a slight look at would have happened if Highlands and Boone had met this season. Boone plays Madison next week for their final game of the season. With that said the Birds will win.

Check with the Boone County Coaching Staff as I know some of them, and they will tell you the unofficial count was 189. After the official count it came to 211. But you believe what you want Dandy, everyone knows your always right anyways.:laugh:

Just thought Dandy should know that even though he felt they contained Farris well he still reached 211 yards (Talked to one of the coaches). I still say the best team to contain Farris to this point was Definitely Owensboro. Great game by both teams. Good luck to the Rebels this week against Henry Clay. This will be a big test.

What point are you trying to make? Farris commited to UK for baseball, which has nothing to do with football and if you look at the kids numbers there is no way you can't bring his name into consideration.

Im going to take Boone by two touchdowns in this one. Even though SK is said to have a good run defense, I doubt they will be as fast as owensboro. The speed was what caused the rebels so many problems. I see Farris getting back on track with two scores and 180+yards.
