GO BIRDS!!!

Madison Central is 6-2 so far this year:

Danville (W) 26 - 7

Madison Southern (W) 37 - 8

Oldham County (W) 35 - 0

Tates Creek (W) 27 -21

George Rogers Clark (W) 45 - 26

Scott County (L) 27 - 7

Paul Dunbar (L) 35 - 28

Shelby County (W) 28 - 10

Interested to see how the "Bye Week" effects how the Birds. Will they be flat? Or will they be rested and itchin' to rock? I believe playing on the road at an opponent that they aren't familiar with will bring out the best in them.

Think the birds win by at least 21 points.

HHS 42

MC 14

Madison Central has a good football team, hope the Birds don't overlook them.

An extra week of preparation

A decent Madison Central team

A snowballing Highlands team

A hard hitting "Red-Dog" defense

+ A high scoring bunch of birds

-----------------------------------------

= Highlands- 42

Madison Central- 10

Is Turner still coaching down there???

Is Turner still coaching down there???
Yes, Kenny Turner is still coaching at Madison Central.

Birds 44

MC- 13

The offensive line will continue to blow holes open for Conner/Hurtt/Cecil however, this might be a good game for Dale to work on the passing game if they get up by 2-3 touchdowns. Playing an athletic bunch like MC will help them prepare for a future showdown where they may need to throw the ball. Dont want to get too far ahead of myself but I'm sure some of you know who that matchup might be.

Highlands 42-24.

Yes, Kenny Turner is still coaching at Madison Central.

He did an excellent job when he was at Holmes; he took the Bulldogs over to Ft. Thomas during the regular season and beat the Birds in '95. Their program has never been the same since he left, although Lickert is off to a very good start.

I am very interested to see the outcome of this one as it might give a slight look at would have happened if Highlands and Boone had met this season. Boone plays Madison next week for their final game of the season. With that said the Birds will win.

Win or lose, Madison Central is going to gain a lot from this game. Highlands is amongst the top 3 teams in the state and is far superior to any other team in the Indians region.

I have enjoyed this game the past two seasons and I am looking forward to seeing the Birds on Friday night.
