Overall has been a great tourney. Pulaski won a great OT game yesterday. Never led until the final buzzer. Newport Catholic is a great defensive team. Finals tonight Powell/Pulaski.

Mouth or no mouth, the Napier kid is one of the top 3 players in the 14th. Could start at his position on any team in the 14th.

If Elliott isn't in the mountains then Catholic isn't in the Bluegrass!

Don't punish the kids but punish the individuals who mismanaged the Title 9 issue and thought it did not apply to them. That would be a novel idea!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree Master and I know there were several games that night but my contention is that with the history and the fact that it is a seeded District, a little more emphasis could have been put on this game. It sertainly could shape the seeding of this District with both teams having district games this week without key kids.

Powell's kids kind of went to sleep. They thought it was OT with 1.7 seconds remaining. He should have never got the ball in front court.

Hazard will be there to be reckoned with. I still believe it is the 56th's to lose.

It is always amazing at Boonevile. They get more from less students than any place in the Bluegrass State. Great tradition and they can always beat you if you don't play.

Game was out of hand from the start. Officiating was terrible from both sides. I think it is a shame that 3 fairly veteran officials were not dispatched to this type of rivalry game. There was an incident last year and 14th Region should have taken that into consideration before assigning a fairly rookie crew. There is no hatred between Lee and Powell. Just a strong rivalry with 2 great young coaches that leave everything on the floor and those types of games can get away from young inexperienced officials. Shame on the assigning folks because both ejections could have been prevented if they had got to the scuffle. Both were reactions and not actions. COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED.

Benningfield and Brewer from Powell made the East/West team. Brewer as a junior and Benningfield as a senior. i think the Couch kid from PCC was the other senior and the player of the year.

He must be because coaching is not something that Montgomery lacks. Coach Combs is an excellent coach.

Could have easliy been the regional championship game had Estill and Powell taken care of Lee in the regular season.

GRC is very solid. they make very few mistakes and are always well coached. Regardless of schedule they are most certainly a top 25 team.

Good win for the Pirates. Did Pikeville seem a little down this year? Not taking anything away from the Pirates but it just didn't seem like the old Pikeville teams.

Are you sure the pitcher isn't considered a fielder in the instance of it hitting the umpire but not in the case of hitting a runner? I think in the umpire case the pitcher is considered a fielder and the ball reamins live. In the event of it hitting a runner before passes a fielder other than the pitcher it is a dead ball.

Any fan or administrator that has a problem with a coach bettering themselves is not a kind person. Billy Clyde was coaching high school basketball less than 6 years ago. If PCC wants to hire one of the best young coaches in the state to sustain their program they would be crazy not to talk to Kyle Lively and Lively would be crazy not to talk to them.
