Tyler Campbell will probaly be out ,serving a suspension. That leaves Lees frontline short. Pelphrey is a handful at 6:6 but he can't guard both Reed and McIntosh

What was the deciding factor for the game tonight? And did Estill hit 8 three's?

I was there. The score was Estill 28 Owsley 25 at the half, but Estill began to slowly pull away in the 3rd, and really opened it up in the 4th. The Owls are going to have to cut down on their turnovers. Too many of those tonight. And Owsley wasn't totally inside oriented tonight. They took their share of long range shots.

 

I was impressed with Estill's outside game, and ball movement. They can fill it up, and had quite a few treys. I can see now how they lost at Perry Central in OT. They have a very good team. No one in the region had better take them for granted. They could be a difficult out come regional tournament time.

That is for sure, when they are left open they fill it up. The press really bothered the guards from Owsley too. They had some silly turn overs trying to dribble through 3 guys instead of passing over the top. This was really an 8-10 pt game, but in the last 2 minutes, Owsley just kept continuing to foul and put Estill on the line to make more free throws, whiched makes it look like a really lopsided score when the game was a lot closer than it looks. Owsley's big men are tough inside and with a few less turnovers will be right in the middle of this district battle.

Great Win For Estill! The Engineers are now 2-0 in district play and are a half court buzzer beater and an overtime away from being 3-0 in regional play.

You have to play the hand that you are dealt---Coach Noble is doing an excellent job with the cards in his hand. Definitely have superior talent on the post at the moment. The JV team is doing very well---defeated Estill County! Coach Noble has Owsley's young kids playing well- you can see the skill level rising! Congrats to Estill---Keep the FAITH OWLS!!!

Owsley took a lot of unnecessary threes,especially considering Reed was hot as a pistol. The press bothered them and,as Master of the Hardwood pointed out,they spent too much time trying to dribble through it. The score really didn't reflect the effort..about a 10-12 point game,really,but hats off to Estill. They have a fine team and anyone who overlooks them is going to get beaten. Congrats on a fine win!
