  1. It's looking to be a good game. Supposed to be packed tonight from what I hear.
  2. Great game by Ludlow and LLoyd. King really set the momentum early and Penick did a great job keeping the momentum going. Some clutch shots by Chris Poe at the end of the game to keep Lloyd from coming back. I did like the Ludlow student sections chants of "That play won't work" (they were behind Lloyds bench) and "we've got Coach Brake" who coached at Lloyd as an assistant and played there through high school.
  3. Logan is a good player IMO but to use the term He and the panthers is wrong. It's a team sport not an individual and everyone else. As far as Penick being over rated, I guess you should go talk to his D-1 coach about that. :thumb:
  4. I'm a Ludlow fan but I disagree with you. While Logan may have made an impact, I don't see him being the sole reason Ludlow would win. Teams win games, not players.
  5. Good to hear from Bracken. Maybe this new coach will turn things around.
  6. If he got the job, that's great to hear. He deserves it and he will do a great jb keeping Ludlow competitive.
  7. Could be one of the reasons he stayed. He is very loyal to the guys on the team.
  8. By law the schools have to have the job open for 30 days to start the interviewing process. I know the Ludlow job should garner a lot of interest seeing as they return a lot of starters. The best fit for that job would probably be Randy Borchers the defensive coordinator. He has a great relationship with the kids and from what I hear the whole team is pulling for him to get the job. As far as Bracken County, i'm not really sure what's going on there. I know that they have been struggling since the program was established and whoever the new coach is, he's going to have to be patient with the team.
  9. Ludlow is still in the process of looking for a new head coach.
  10. I think that Randy Borchers of Ludlow would be a great candidate, he had the opportunity to take over the Scott program last year but turned it down. Another assistant coach would be Burnett (I think that's his name) from Beechwood. He took over for Yeagle the one year the he left didn't he?
  11. Can't wait to see it, you all always do a great job! :thumb:
  12. I really don't see what was so funny about that post. Borchers and Yeagle would both make great coaches for Ludlow and while it is a long shot that Yeagle would come I think I would still rather see Borchers as the head coach. He has been with these kids when they were losers and winners and even turned down a head coaching job to stay the defensive coordinator. I think that while Yeagle may have a better resume that Borchers, more kids would play for a coach that they know is going to stay there and work with them through the good times and the bad.
  13. I agree with you FC. There is no way you can say that Ludlow will lose to Holy Cross 70-80% of the time they play when you have no idea what younger generations are going to do.
  14. Have a wiffle ball tourny.. Good way to bring in money for a team.
  15. And i'm pretty sure Ludlow will have quite a few wins over Holy Cross. :thumb:
  16. I don't believe what you all are talking about has anything to do with the Ludlow coaching situation..
  17. It is an older facility but a lot of the community, players, and coaches got together last year and gave the stadium a major face lift. It looks really good now.
  18. Ludlow does have a very tight nit community. Always a lot of fans at the games whether they seem to be winning or losing. Whoever takes over as coach has a legit shot at making the playoffs and fighting for a playoff spot every year.
  19. Not making it personal just stating what I know.
  20. I have also heard the rumors and the team isn't really happy about it, there is a feeling of betrayal. If and when he leaves I look for Ludlow to have a good year just to show him what it is exactly he is missing. I also believe that Randy Borchers would make the best fit for the coaching job because he's been loyal to the team whether they have been 0-32 or 8-3.
  21. Points aren't everything. You have to look at the smaller things, like him giving up the ball for other team members to score. He's a team player and let's not forget he is one heck of a rebounder. He leads NKY in rebounds and I don't remember the exact stat but I'm pretty sure that he has over 120 rebounds through what, 12-13 games.
  22. Dan has great potential. He has told me he will more than likely play the 3 spot in college and trust me I talk to Dan everyday i've seen the papers from D-1 schools, he is being recruited by D-1 type schools. Think what you want but I'll go with what a college coach thinks over some posters opinions.
  23. Do all of these kids have a chance to play in the NKY all star game?
