It was a good game for Walton they lead by 10 most of the game. Daugherty was a not a factor offensivly, Roberts and Tungate both had good games with 10 points each by half time. Penick for ludlow was a non factor in this game I belive he had two at the half he had more in the second but it was garabage points. IMO Penick may be the most over rated player I have seen, for all the hype all I saw was a tall guy and that was it. good win for Walton.

Good win for Walton. They went up by 15 in the 3rd qtr, and had chances to put them away for good, but let Ludlow stick around. Roberts was player of the game for Walton, guarded Penick well, rebounded, anticipated passes, and made some unorthodox shots against the big guy. Penick did have a double double with 16/16, so it wasn't that he had a bad game. There are times when he does things and you say wow, but he needs to play hard all the time. Probably the best passing big guy I've seen in a while. Also, I'd say Kyle Lynn hit a couple big shots in the 2nd half. Ludlow should of put more pressure on Waltons backcourt. A little token pressure was all they did until the end.

Good win for WV they moved the ball well and didn't commit alot of TO's. Let it get a little to close in the end but hit their FT's to close it out. I thought Kyle Lynn had a nice game and hit two much needed 3's. Hope 2 in a row can help tonight against Gallatin County. If they play as good MTM tonight this could really be a good game.

I also just do not understand how Penick had 16 rebounds I just don't remember seeing him grad more then four tops. Plus he should have been fouled out in the third with some real bad no calls but I did think the refs were better then any of the 8th region refs have been all year.

I thought Penick played alot better in the 2nd half and it was very possible he had that many boards. But, I thought he tried to do it all and did not give up the ball when he should have to teamates. It always seems ref's do protect the favorite sons in their paticular regions. He could of easily fouled out especially when he almost mugged Tungate under the basket in the 2nd half and got a no call. But this is all history now and we won. I'm not a Ludlow fan but IMO, you need to see someone more than once before you can pass judgement on them... Penick is more than just a tall guy...

Lousy game for the Panthers all the way around. Couldn't seem to get anything going for any extended period. When they play together as a team they do well but for some reason they just can't seem to put it together. Chris Poe was out for the game and Justin Hardin had been experiencing flu like symptoms for a couple days but honestly the Panthers still should have been able to beat a mediocre Walton team. The officiating was fine as far as I was concerned by the one ref. (cc) but the other one seemed to call some ticky tack stuff but it didn't effect the outcome of the game.

The Panthers have no excuses, they lost one they shouldn't have.

Something I have noticed recently that is becoming more and more of a trend is the behavior of visiting schools fans. (Mostly adults) There are some who are very good and cheer for their team and do it with a lot of class and then their are a few who start complaining the minute they walk in the door. I'll let you all guess where I think Waltons fans have fallen in recent years IMO.

I know WV fans can get a little carried away as can Ludlow fans when they go into other gyms there has never been any love lost between the 2 schools they are just 2 small schools doing the best they can. I do think Penick's Dad was a class act, I know he did come up to 23 Tungate and shook is hand on a good game, and that goes further than any fan can say or do.

Yes they can and they did and it is adults not the kids so much. Ludlow fans especially their students are on a pretty tight leash when they go to away games and know that bad behavior will not be tolerated. I think the thing that Ludlow always has at away games is an administrator present to keep their fans in check which isn't always the case with other schools.

Glad to hear that Dan's father congratulated the kid. It was deserved.

As far as the game, I'm very surprised to see W-V pull out of Ludlow with a W. But definitely glad to hear. Any W for the Cats this year is a high note. Can they beat Gallatin? Not sure, but as mentioned in a thread before would be interesting if Justin Davis drops 20 points on Walton tonight to get his 1000th point.

That is fair about Penick I have only seen him one time so I can't pass judgement. He just was a non factor in this game. As for the fans I think yelling and screaming is part of the game as long as they do not get personal with the kids it is all in good fun.
