Morehead's new coach is taking a lot of steps in the right direction. Good luck to all the kids who have signed to play there and they should remember that they have the chance to be apart of a team that is changing and that's something to be proud of!

Ludlow is sending Chase King (if he can play due to wrist surgery), Nick Papas, Mark Csolkovits, Michael Goodpaster, and Derrick Trenkamp (sp.).

Anyone know what day the NKY All Star game is? I have heard June 1st but i've also head June 8th. Any help is appreciated!

Randy Borchers has been officially named the Head Coach at Ludlow. It was announced to the players today. Best of luck to the panthers and I will be there rooting for you as the season goes on!

No head coach was named last week.

I have reason to believe that Ludlow will be naming their new head coach tomorrow. I will update as soon as I hear who it is! :thumb:

I think that the Morehead coaches will do a great job teaching Dan to take his game to the next level. He still has a lot of potential to be reached and the coaches want him to play as the 4.. Look for some good things out of Penick in the future!

From what I have been hearing Borchers was offered the job last night. Not sure if it's true or not yet though.

I don't know if it's because of this or not.. I do know that Ludlow's offseason program with Borchers being the interim head coach has gotten a lot better. These kids have been working extremely hard doing conditioning and a new weight program. I believe that the job is Borchers to lose but we will have to see. In my eyes, he is by far the best candidate for the job due to his loyalty to the team and the relationships that he has developed with the players. I know that I am rooting for him to get the job!:thumb:

Today Nick Papas Ludlow's offensive tackle signed his letter of intent to the University of the Cumberlands. Just wanted to congradulate Nick and wish him the best of luck!:ylsuper:

From what I have heard Ludlow hasn't really even started interviewing people. Who knows though as they may all be keeping it a big secret. I'll talk to my source to see if they have heard anything at all about this whole situation.

I don't think it's official the players haven't been told anything.

Penick has got to play on the KY team so they have some size..

Kyle York and Chris Poe of Ludlow could both be top juniors. York has nasty stuff on the mound and made quite a few Holy Cross kids look confused with his change up yesterday. Look for really big numbers out of him as a pitcher and as a short stop.

I agree. Lantry should have been at least an honorable mention, but to ignore what she did all together is insane.

I have heard that it is going to be at Beechwood every year.. Not sure if that is correct or not though.

Just wanted to congradulate Dan Penick of Ludlow for being named a McDonalds All American. Had a great career at Ludlow with over 1,000 points and rebounds. Good luck at Wright State! The Raiders got a great player.:thumb:

I know Ludlow nominated Michael Goodpaster (WR), Nick Papas(OL), Mark Csolkovits(WR), Chase King (QB), and Derrick Trenkamp (TE/DE).

Last year when Ludlow and Holy Cross were playing each other in the All A, Dane Lantry kept making shots so Holy Cross chanted "you can't stop him." Ludlow replied with "He's from Ludlow." That one was pretty clever.

The players still have to fill out a form and then they will be allowed to play.

Good post! The Birds press really did mess up Ludlow's plans and it's sad to see Hardin end his career without scoring, but all 3 Ludlow seniors had great a great year and have nothing to be ashamed of.

Dan actually had 5 points and 19 rebounds. Paper said 15 but he had 19.

Rouse needs to just calm down a little when he plays. He had a lot of tunovers this last game and if he would just calm down and play he could help the Panthers out but instead he looks like he is playing nervous and not taking shots he should.

Great game even though the score doesn't really reflect it. Ludlow couldn't really stop Dixie's guards and that's what ended up killing them. When Logan was in for Ludlow, they seemed to be playing better. The kid does have talent, and hopefully he is in the starting line-up or at least getting more minutes when Ludlow goes to the regionals. Congrats to Ludlow on having a good season and good luck at Regionals!
