Male has played everyone close this season, but has not been able to make the critical play for victory. The Bulldogs were due for a breakout game. Eastern almost always has great talent, but always loses focus and chokes when given the opportunity for a great season.

People need to quit referring to the great Manual team of 1960. As 58 Bulldogs noted earlier, Manual's super team was 1959 and not 1960. The best Kentucky team in 1960 was Flaget, quarterbacked by Rick Norton (who went on to be an All-American at UK) and coached by the brilliant passing innovator, Paulie Miller.

I think a lot of that is probably based on strength of schedule. The teams Male has played are significantly stronger than those that Boone County and Eastern played, and the Bulldogs losses were all close.

Has his St. X. diploma been recinded? If not, it should be. Maybe Trinity will give him some trade-in value for a replacement. :lol:

I don't think that there is a snow ball's chance of that happening, so Boone County's flirtation with a Top 10 position will be a short-lived one. After Cov. Cath., Boone must face Male, Dixie Heights, Ryle (although without Elliott), and Simon Kenton in a row. There is a humongous difference between these teams and the Southwestern, Conner, and Cooper teams that the Colonels faced to start the season.
