Tony, the five quarterbacks who played for the Tigers Friday night were Alex Mattingly (Sr.), Austin Gahafer (Jr.), Clay Bollinger (Jr.), Matt Lasley (Jr.), and Hayden Ford (So.). Does knowing the answer to the question qualify me as a consultant to the Bisig Communications St. X. radio team?

Who then do you suggest should replace them and why?

I don't have the exact score (something like 24-16), but Western won ugly.

That's true. Wales reportedly had a slight stinger and could have played if needed, but the substitute running backs did fine, so he sat this game out.

Although I hate to see runaways like this, I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed so many different people getting gametime action for the Tigers. There were five different quarterbacks, and at least ten different running backs who touched the ball for the X-men. Defensive stars linebacker George Stone and safety Patrick Semersheim even got some action at tailback, and both looked very good carrying the ball. On another front, I must complement the fans, coaches, and players from Nelson County. I had the opportunity to talk to a number of them tonight, and I found them all to be extremely cordial and friendly. They just all seemed like "good people". :thumb:

There were some doubters (not me) who thought that a good Meade County team would easily dispatch a 3-7 Male squad, especially since the game was at Meade County. Overlooked was the fact that one of Male's wins was over 8-2 Butler, who only last week dispatched this same Meade County team at Meade County by a 24-14 score. With this win, the Super District gets a first round sweep, and as RockPride has said above, they now will proceed to rip into each other. Personally, I'm overjoyed that Male won because this assures that St. X. will have another home game and another good payday. Way to go Bulldogs! :thumb:

I can maybe understand Male being where they are because of the difficulty of their schedule, and the fact that their two wins were over #5 Butler and #6 Eastern. Although Boone County won at home against Male, the loss to Dixie Heights and, to a lesser extent the loss to Ryle (without Elliott), hurts them. Outside of Trinity, 6A is the weakest I can ever remember. For the #2 slot , you could throw a blanket over X, Scott County, Manual, and Butler and just pick one blindly. Just one man's opinion.
