Agree or Disagree?

St X is where they should have been since week 1. Male still in the top 10 is the next abberation. No way a 2-6 team is a top 10 team, I don't care how "down" 6A seems to be this year.

Looks good to me, Male was down to Trinity at the end of the first quarter 7-0, they have been in every game in every loss except to X/Rocks, and this past week were missing their starting QB/RB.

How a 5-3 Boone Co team that beat Male by 2Td's isn't in Male's #8 spot is mindboggling.

I have to agree, how Male is still in the top 10 is beyond me.

I can maybe understand Male being where they are because of the difficulty of their schedule, and the fact that their two wins were over #5 Butler and #6 Eastern. Although Boone County won at home against Male, the loss to Dixie Heights and, to a lesser extent the loss to Ryle (without Elliott), hurts them. Outside of Trinity, 6A is the weakest I can ever remember. For the #2 slot , you could throw a blanket over X, Scott County, Manual, and Butler and just pick one blindly.

Just one man's opinion.

And the loss to Western shouldn't hurt Male? There is nothing to convince me Male should be ranked or ahead of Boone.

If Male is indeed #8, then this is the worst 6A has ever been (granted 6A hasn't been around all that long). While I definitely think X is #2, they are still just 5-4 and will be underdogs next week, so that too is a testament to the weakness of KY's top division.

The 4 teams that have beaten X are a combined 31-1. X may be down a little, but the 4 teams that have beaten them are pretty strong and would beat most everyone not named Trinity.

Sorry but if your 2-6 you haven't earned the right to the top 10 unless you've played T's schedule. Male and Boone played, Boone won yet Male is at 8 and Boone isn't even ranked. Male's 2 wins aren't even that good when you start diving into them.

Central routinely has a losing record and they remain ranked #1. Male's two wins are better than anyone else in that 5-15 range. This has been the toughest year to rank 6A that I can remember

I'm not saying losing records should automatically exclude you. But 2 wins? And those two wins only look good because of the rankings they receive in the BGP poll. How do you (not you specifically but you in general) rank Male ahead of Boone when Boone beat them by 2 TD's just a few weeks ago?

I understand your point, but if Marshall County would have upset Henderson last week, does that mean we rank Marshall County ahead of them? I wouldn't. Hancock County was a tenth of a second from knocking off Owensboro Catholic two weeks ago. Had it happened, I still think OCath would have been ranked ahead of them.

My philosophy to ranking 6A is simple....I dont factor in games with St. X and Trinity except for overall strength of schedule comparison. Male beat Butler and Eastern -- both top 10 6A teams. Boone County beat Male, but lost to two other 6A teams and hasn't played as tough a schedule. It goes without saying that Male has been the toughest team to rank this year in any class.
