  1. I hope not:sleep:...Mason is a force though. It could easily happen....I'm realistic enough to know that.... May not though. --
  2. Is Mason a consolidated school? I saw where someone said Maysville had several titles--Is Mason County a combination of Maysville and some county schools?
  3. Since your team isn't there....we'll do our best.
  4. Forgot to say "Congrats" to RH on a great season!
  5. In my opinion Elliott is the better team. They deserved the win. Elliott got away with no more fouls that RH--heck NEARLY everyone agress that the officiating is consistent. Maybe not good, but even. I applaude the officials. My job is easier than theirs.
  6. Read Carefully YaMine. I said Player 1 Impressed me...about the other comment...I'm Sorry. I just think a player should take the higher percentage shot. In this case it must not have been the dunk (as he missed it, rebounded, and then scored). You, too, pointed out negatives in high school kids (your previous post about the entire Elliott team not impressing you). Didn't mean to insult. My Bad.
  7. Rowan didn't impress me....but heck..neither did the RH team. Player 1 did (except for the missed dunk), the team didn't .... Here's to taking the Royals crown! Go Elliott, Go Away Snow.
  8. My guess would have been somewhere around 2,500-2,700 last night. I imagine the rest of the tournament will be better (4,000-4,500). That's just my prediction though (and I picked Bath and Raceland last night :(). I was really surprised by the low attendance. I think Ashland was as low as I have ever seen them. Raceland and East was pretty sparse too. Thank goodnes for Bath. They had nearly an entire end-zone and thier adult side full.
  9. Prophet of doom?? Hate it when anybody gets hurt. I would still trade last year's regional title for J.V. of Russell to not be injured.
  10. I have come to the realization that Elliott fans and Mason County fans are EXACTLY the same. For some reason they BOTH have an inferiority complex. Mason is obviously a remarkable team. However, thier fans (and Elliott fans) are on many threads "talking trash" and explaining why they are superior to everybody else. Both fans get on my nerves. I think I am done for the season.
  11. Hu? Why does he play for Mason Couny then?
  12. Elliott has hosted the district before....several years of East/West finals. If it wasn't too crowded a few years ago, then we'll be fine this year. The PAC is on campus and actually shares the gym lobby. It's going to be a good place to watch the game too!
  13. If I am not mistaken the "closed circuit t.v." will be on an 18 foot screen (with audio). It won't be too bad for me to watch the games from there. That way the parents, students, and friends of the seniors can watch in the gym. Not a big deal for my $7.00
  14. You know...in all my 30+ years of life....I don't think I can ever remember a regional tournament without an Ashland Blazer team. I'm sure it has happened, and it looks like it may happen again. Biggs probably is a good coach. I (personally) think he is too negative toward his players though. I have heard him say some pretty low things to some of them. That may be part of the resaon that they are not being motivated. Again, probably a class act, I am just saying what I witnessed from the stands...usually that angle distorts the truth
  15. Nice Job RHS! This Elliott fan loves it when the small schools are successful! Take care of your district now!
  16. Glad we are still a go....even if I don't have a free place to nest in Maysville. Hope for a good game and safe travels for all!
  17. Why not? He said (in so many words) "no particular order." So someone who likes Elliott can't say that they have a good player? Your logic is .... well, illogical.
  18. WHAT ABOUT THE FANS? YOU ALL CAN SPRING FOR ME A ROOM TOO! Here's hoping that the game is a go. Been looking FWD to this for a while.
  19. It's 32 and rain right now just out of Morehead. Still ICY, but improving. We can make it!
  20. It isn't always easy to schedule top tiered talent (although it should be easier for Elliott to schedule better teams next season). I know this season there were at least a couple of schools who would not play Elliott (their schedules were completed before the state tourney last season). Believe it or not, some schools don't like driving to Sandy Hook. It's easy to want to play the best teams, for Elliott it will often be a "travel" game though. Thanks to Mason for the return game next season! Says much about your program.. Really hope we can play ball tomorrow!
  21. As long as the temp is above freezing in the day--I think Elliott will make the trip. They don't usually like to cancel a game. I remember driving to Boonville (I think that is Owsley Co) one night with a forcasted ice storm. Luckily the storm was all rain.
