Who won Mondays games? And what are the matchups for Tuesday?

I heard that without Boyles, the turnover problem was huge for Raceland. Ball protection is a must when there is not a lot of offensive power on the floor.

Turnovers could be cut down if the guards would just keep their head up. They dribble with their head down. Once they get into the lane they dont know what to do with the ball. They cant see the whole court.

Racelands guards(excludingBoyles) dribble with their head down. This is why there are so many turnovers and poor guard play.

^^^^^ I hope so, but our JV was terrible last year and a lot of them are now playing varsity.

Im proud of Rams. Before the season I didnt think they would have close to this kind season. A special group of players. Hate to see the loss, but after the first game between these 2, I was afraid LCA would go to the air and hurt us. When they decided that running wasn't going to work, they aired it out. Raceland couldnt keep the Eagles in front of them. But a great season nontheless. Go Rams.

The way Robby Logan from Raceland is playing this season, he should certainly get some attention for defensive lineman

How is Russell weak? They are #9 in 3A. This is a good win for Raceland. Anytime a small 1A school can beat a 3A power, it's something to be proud of. And a rivalry game too.:dancingpa

Not all Raceland fans are overconfident. I know they could very well have 2 losses now. But they don't. I think they can beat Russell,but it will be a battle. Close either way. I hope for a championship, but LCA will be a a hard game and Beechwood is,well Beechwood. Not saying Rams can't win it all, but Beechwood is a lot better than anyone Raceland has played this year.

Russell needs to strenghten their non district games. Drop Boyd,Greenup,and Raceland. Add Ironton and some quality 4 or 5A teams. This would prepare them better for playoffs. And before anyone says Raceland shouldnt be dropped. Yes, this year, Raceland will give them a hand full, but most years , Russell will roll over Raceland.

Raceland had better work on pass defense. LCA passed at will.

^ What if Fairview loses a close game? Ashland also lost to Raceland. It seems everyone has to earn a high spot in the poll except for Ashland.

I see this as everyone BUT Ashland has to earn their spot. Fairview is undefeated against their schedule. They should be higher than Ashland. The poll will eventually work itself out,but how about making Ashland earn their spot??

Where is the game?

This is a computer ranking. Raceland is 1-0, with the win over a 5A school. Thats why. Hopefully they stay grounded and keep winning.

Im not buying the hype. I think if teams can stack and stop the run, Raceland will have hard time scoring. They play Fairview on the road this year , so will probably lose that one. I'm just stating my opinion (we all have one). Also, Rams lost a very good kicker from last year. Who's kicking this year?

I look for Raceland to win 5 or 6 and maybe a playoff game.

High scholl basketball,both boys and girls, is getting to be a lot of mugging. Would like to see more fouls called on players who push and hack on the press.
