Good win tonight for the Rams, this one over rival Russell gets them into the win column at 1-4. Raceland survived a 23 turnover night to win this one. Good job guys! Keep working hard, stay focused and good things will continue to happen.

 

This game was also an important one for seeding. The 63rd district tournament is seeded this year.

Good to see the Rams get their first win. They did some good things tonight but must do a better job of taking care of the ball. Rams will continue to improve as the season moves forward.

Congrats to Coach Floyd and his kids on the W. Looking forward to seeing them in the Derby Classic.

Turnovers could be cut down if the guards would just keep their head up. They dribble with their head down. Once they get into the lane they dont know what to do with the ball. They cant see the whole court.

Just got home from the game. I had to throw this pair of contacts away and put my glasses on, these contacts had horrific basketball burned into them. Not poor coaching, not poor officiating, just bad basketball. Ugggggh.

The gym was great. Thought I'd throw that in there for good measure.

:thumb: Boyles seemed to be more in "basketball" shape from the football season. I believe that he lead the Rams with 20pts., I think that the radio crew said that C. Barker had around 15pts, not sure. Farley (also from football) also had a nice game from the way it sounded.

I also wanted to say that imo the Russell/WLGC radio crew does an excellent job on their broadcast. They commented on how Raceland was able to take Russell out of the things that the Devils like to do and that the Rams were well prepared.

Raceland is very well coached with Coach Floyd as well as Coach Trimble with the Lady Rams. Raceland took both games of the girls/boys game double header tonight.

I don't know if I would go that far....... yet , I was just glad to see the Rams get the "skunk" out of the gym and get a win . I am looking foward to see how we do in the Derby classic this weekend and early next week.

As I and others have said, this Raceland team will improve as the season goes on. Outside of Boyles and Barker there is not alot with game experience there I don't believe. They will come around.

I am not sre about the other teams schedules (and too lazy to look it up right now ) but this one was the only game between Raceland and Russell for the regular season.
