I don't think Fairview has gotten up to #4 ... seems that Holy Cross and Hazard have been above them all year. Fairview's schedule makes it hard to rate them any higher.

Maybe there are, but there are only 32 teams in the class. That doesn't change my point that there aren't 10 really good teams in 6A. Heck, there may not be more than two or three.

Bottom line ... you have to rank 10 teams in each class, and I'm not sure each class has 10 worthy teams.

You can thank the KHSAA for that, with the watered down six-class format.

I think the Mayfield people have been pretty forthcoming with their injury news. Two starters are out for the year and two others have missed significant time.

It's hard to see anyone knocking off Bowling Green or John Hardin in 5A, which is top-heavy but soft in the bottom part of the top 10.

Was Tilghman going to score 19 points in the second half on a Mayfield defense that hasn't allowed anything like that all year? Besides, didn't Tilghman lose a second-half lead against Reitz the week before?

Presnell left the game late in the second quarter ... as I recall, Mayfield already had a 17-6 lead.
