Could this be the most competitive class in the KHSAA for Football?:confused: It may look like a one man show, but .......... how about Cov Cath being able to go toe to toe with the Birds? Looks like a lot of central, eastern, and/or mountain schools not willing to go quietly into the night. Lex Cath is back, Rockcastle, Russell, Ashland Blazer, Johnson-Central, Knox Central are all in this dog fight and anyone can win on any given night. Can Boyle Co peak at the right time? I see some awesome playoff matchups in the making.:taz:

I think anything is possible but I expect Highlands to win it. I do think the 4A playoffs will be exciting with some intriguing matchups in round one.

This is a very strong 4A field, and the match-ups are just going to be so much fun to watch! (In my best Dale Mueller voice.)

I believe the 4A race is going to be very competitive.

Two horse race in my opinion... Highlands and CovCath..Whoever wins that game is the State Champ...GO BIRDS!!!

I think the 5-A will be good especially with Bowling Green, John Hardin, Harlan County being the favorites.

5A and 2A are more competitive classes, maybe even 3a as there are at least 5 teams in 3a that could legitimately win it all and 6 or 7 in 5a.. I don't think but 3-4 tops have a shot to win it all in 4a..

I think the fact that Johnson Central gave Highlands a competitive game last season lends at least some hope for some of the better contenders. Several would compare favorably to last season's JC team.

It's hard to see anyone knocking off Bowling Green or John Hardin in 5A, which is top-heavy but soft in the bottom part of the top 10.

1st seed HHS vs 4th seed Boyd County @ HHS

1st seed Ashland vs. 4th seed Harrison County @ Ashland

2nd seed CovCath vs. 3rd seed Rowan County @ CovCth

2nd seed Johnson Central vs. 3rd seed Holmes @ Johnson Central
