Unbelievable that Male is #10. I just don't get it.

What other team do you think is more deserving and why?

What other team do you think is more deserving and why?
BOONE CO.! Because they are 6-3 and defeated Male!

I am sure I am missing something, but isn't Male something like 5 games under .500 including a loss to a 6-3 Boone Co. team? I realize that strength of schedule has to play a part in the rankings, but at the end of the day a team has to know how to win, IMHO.

I really don't like taking up for the NKY 6A folks but I do think that Male, at this point, probably deserves to be left off the list based on their performance this season. NKY 6A as a whole isn't great, but there is no doubt that Male is down this year. I honestly wonder if we would have any other squad with the same record, against the same schedule, in the top 10 at this point. I think name recognition is a bit more important here than it ought to be.

How does Lafayette win their game last week and fall all of the way out of the rankings?

Agreed. Male doesnt deserve to be on this list, but everyone 1-9 is exactly where they should be. Boone should probably be at #10

How does Lafayette win their game last week and fall all of the way out of the rankings?

I would assume that losing the week before and barely beating TC is the reason.

I would assume that losing the week before and barely beating TC is the reason.

But you keep a 2-7 Male team in the top 10? Both Lafayette and Male lost to Lex Cath. Lafayette by 3....and Male by 8! There is NO data that shows Male be in the top 10 and Boone or Lafayette be out.

Male out gained Manual last week but lost 23-14. Manual had a kick off return for a TD on a pooch kick. But if you look at everyones comment to that Male should be left out they made some very good points. I liked what I saw in Male last week, I get the game films and there was a huge non call hold on the KO return, that play hurt the Dawgs.

I would assume that losing the week before and barely beating TC is the reason.

So losing to Madison Central dropped them to like 8th or 9th, but winning a close game with their #1 cross-town rival, Tates Creek, equals not being ranked? I just dont understand it?

Dont get me wrong, I dont mind Lafayette being unranked. I kinda like Lafayette playing the underdog role. Their 3 best games were early in the season when they were the decisive underdog going into the game...Mason Co, Bell Co and Lex Cath.

Lafayette had to play a 3rd string QB(their normal starting slot rec) vs Madison Central when they got beat. It still counts as a loss and obviously hurt them in the rankings. However, Male loses every week and stays in the rankings? A loss is a loss and it should affect the rankings whether there is a 3rd string QB playing or a missed call by the officials.

What I dont understand is how a team can continue to lose and stay in the rankings when other teams win close games(Lafayette) or win blowouts(Boone Co) and they fall out of the rankings?

Im gonna have to side with the "big name school" theory!!!
