Lafayette had to play a 3rd string QB(their normal starting slot rec) vs Madison Central when they got beat. It still counts as a loss and obviously hurt them in the rankings. However, Male loses every week and stays in the rankings? A loss is a loss and it should affect the rankings whether there is a 3rd string QB playing or a missed call by the officials.

 

What I dont understand is how a team can continue to lose and stay in the rankings when other teams win close games(Lafayette) or win blowouts(Boone Co) and they fall out of the rankings?

 

Im gonna have to side with the "big name school" theory!!!

 

I'm sure Male will move up in the rankings if they squeak by 2A Christian Academy of Louisville. Nobody should ever badger the AP poll around here again.

For the record we have Boone at 11 and Lafayette at 12.

When you go dancing, you dance with the girls that are there. There are more worthy teams than Male based on 10 weeks of results. It doesn't matter if they are ugly girls or not.

Male out gained Manual last week but lost 23-14. Manual had a kick off return for a TD on a pooch kick. But if you look at everyones comment to that Male should be left out they made some very good points. I liked what I saw in Male last week, I get the game films and there was a huge non call hold on the KO return, that play hurt the Dawgs.

 

Larry, I love your passion for the Bulldogs, but you must be more relasitic. Almost every losing team (within 3 or 4 TDs) could say if it was'nt for those 4 or 5 plays, penalties, mistakes, etc.,. we would have won that game. For Male the fact remains in that as many as six or seven games this year there HAVE BEEN those big plays, penalties, mistakes, etc.,. Those are very simply the things that separate winning teams and losing teams.

Maybe there are, but there are only 32 teams in the class. That doesn't change my point that there aren't 10 really good teams in 6A. Heck, there may not be more than two or three.

I have loved one on the team (Freshman) How many Male games you seen? MBKT for you. Rockpride Dude, I know football. ROLL TIDE! Since 1960. And in sports there are games played where you have no experince compared to others, Remember 3 returning starters, and each week we have improved, and you try to build on that as you encourage your team. But, you are used to that. As Barnanus in the Bible I like to encourage kids.

 

I even said that some folks made some good points on why Male should not be in the top 10, and I have no vote. MBKT/RockPride you have children on your teams? If not you can't walk in my shoes...I've had three.
