Anxious to see how Pike Central/Belfry turns out this week. Pike Central's loss to Powell County soured me on the Hawks, but they have looked pretty good otherwise. Their schedule has been somewhat suspect, but they haven't really been challenged either. This week should tell us a lot.

I would move Belfry to atleast the #3 spot.. 2010 State Runner Up and undefeated on the season so far.

Looks good to me. I feel like Central is and should be the favorite, with Bell County as their most likely challenger. And, if anyone outside of those two can sneak up and win it all, it will come from the trio of Tilghman, Belfry or Breathitt County.

Looks about right to me. 1-5 are all pretty darn good.

So because Tilghman lost to Mayfield they aren't in the same category as the other four?

 

In my opinion, Tilghman/Mayfield was a matchup of even teams. The advantage I believe Tilghman would have over Belfry, Breathitt, and perhaps even Bell is speed - something that wasn't better than Mayfield. Now Tilghman might not be able to beat those teams with just speed, but I believe Mayfield would have success against those teams, too.

Bell County has a lot of momentum. Are they opposite Central and Pad Tilghman in the playoffs?

If everything shakes out like expected, Bell County will have to play AT Central in the third round. The winner of that game will then have to play AT Paducah Tilghman in the state semifinals.

Yep. Breathitt County and Belfry are the big two on the other side. I guess the biggest challengers to them on that side of the bracket would be Garrard County, Pike County Central, Russell and Bourbon County. But Breathitt and Belfry are big favorites.

Also the starting QB was out for almost 3 qrts of that game due to concussion the week before for PT. If you have seen them play this year the O is a different animal with him under center. Probably a very underestimated senior QB. over 1000 yards passing and double digit td's in an offense that throws it on average 14 times a game.

Presnell left the game late in the second quarter ... as I recall, Mayfield already had a 17-6 lead.
