You are correct Westsider, but also understand that PT has made 2nd half adjustments like crazy in most games and put up a ton of points in the second half this year....LO,Heath,Fort Campbell,Clarksville, so forth. So its not out of the way to say that Presnells absence from the second half of that game made a HUGE impact on how that one turned out. Either way PT lost and it is what it is. JMHO

Was Tilghman going to score 19 points in the second half on a Mayfield defense that hasn't allowed anything like that all year?

 

Besides, didn't Tilghman lose a second-half lead against Reitz the week before?

Also the starting QB was out for almost 3 qrts of that game due to concussion the week before for PT. If you have seen them play this year the O is a different animal with him under center. Probably a very underestimated senior QB. over 1000 yards passing and double digit td's in an offense that throws it on average 14 times a game.

Pres left with like a minute to go in the 2nd and Mayfield already had a commanding lead. No reason at all to think they could have solved Mayfield's defense had he been given another 2 quarters and I don't blame Wyatt for the switch after the punishment he was taking, espically the Jonathan Jackson hit which he was pulled after. As West pointed out, Mayfield's defense was likely the best they have been against thus far as it has only surrendered 3 td all season with the starters. You are starting to sound like Flashdaddy.

 

To me PT is clearly much better with Pres under center but I think the thing that is holding PT back at this point is mistakes. PT is still making early season mistakes, turning the ball over to much and getting to many penalities. Fix that and PT is as good as any in the class.
