  1. Then on top of that watch soldiers do training by running in formations around the track and having helicopters hover over you while the game is going on.
  2. I hear the kicking game may be solid with a pretty good freshman that kicks off fairly deep and has good range from field goal distance also.
  3. Owensboro Catholic host Ft. Campbell this year 10/19. This should provide a nice playoff preview.
  4. Thanks much UK9:ylsuper:
  5. What class is Hoptown in now and is there a link that gives schools class in for A , AA, etc...I know I have seen it before, but not sure where. Thanks
  6. I thought it was real interesting on Clevenger's take on getting his team ready for the start of the season. He stated that yes it would be tough and he was a little behind the 8 ball with knowing his players up and down side, however he is not offering any excuses saying in college he could not get started untill August each each year and college ball starts in late August/early Sept. He said he will have all his practices and will get them all in before the season starts so yes I am sure he will have them ready and you have to like the fact he is not starting his tenue at HC with excuses. Good Luck Coach Clevenger.
  7. Thanks for the infor. I got to see the spring game for Daviess Co. and I noticed they had a couple of very fast receivers in Scotty Smith and Day Ogessi (sp) and a pretty good QB in Cole Lanham.
  8. Did Trinty have a 7 on 7 the last couple of weeks? If so does anyone know what teams and any outcomes were present for it?
  9. He is making a reference to the "right of rescission" that pertains to consumer legal protection that has no merit in the aformentioned discussion.
  10. Prayers and thoughts from Western Kentucky. Get better young man.
  11. Next up, I believe is Henderson Co.
  12. Well I suppose that it can be looked at like this. There is duffers side of things and there is the "communities" side of things and then there is the truth that both sides see and know, but can not agree on.
  13. What year is Petrovic? Has he kicked in the past?
  14. So this Popham guy kicked a 64 yarder. Would that be or is it not a state record? When and where did he kick that at?
  15. A facet of the game often overlooked, but sooo important. I have heard and seen of a kicker that is a going to be a freshman this year at Owensboro who has a pretty good leg. Kicks 30-40 yard field goals and will be kicking on the varsity for Owensboro this fall. How about any other kickers in the state?
  16. Wonder if Gordon Powers (former coach at Owensboro), now coaching in Georgia would be a good candidate.
  17. Did he (Gibson) resign today as well? Also I seem to recall Gibson had a son that was quite a good basketball player. Did his son go on to play college ball?
  18. Sources say it is indeed Fairhope High near Mobile that he is going to. 31-7 was his record at Henderson.
  19. I guess I am just "old school" as they say, but depending on what was "really" said, this falls under the "lets make everyone feel good" mentality that is so loud today. Just my opinion but outside of personal non-baseball attacks, then no harm no foul.
  20. Owensboro Catholic was well represented in the All A Classic placing 5 players on the all tourney team. Joe Devine, Stewart Ijames, Neil Holland (all U of L signees) along with Jason Payne and MVP Cole Sturgeon ( a freshman) made the team. Some may remember Sturgeon from the Little League World Series a few years ago. Congrates to all these and the other players who made the team.
  21. There will be 4 teams (Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic, Apollo and Daviess Co) playing 4 Southern Indiana teams (Evansville area) Two games each night 08/24 and 08/25 at the same site in Owensboro. Next year they rotate to Indiana to play. Great way to start the season in Western Kentucky.
  22. 139 days or 3345 hours if you are on CST and kick off is at 7:30 CST. That is only 200,700 minutes!!!:dancingpa :dancingpa
  23. I think Wire was saying most people with less than 20 post do not start many threads at all. We need new people like you to start new threads often. Welcome to BGP BTW.:ylsuper: :ylsuper:
  24. My bad...South did of course advance....Thats what you get when typing and getting called by wife to "come and get it" supper.....
  25. Laurel comes back after being down in 3rd and 4th period. Fairdale has last shot blocked and advances. A good game by any standard of measurement IMO
