Owensboro Catholic was well represented in the All A Classic placing 5 players on the all tourney team. Joe Devine, Stewart Ijames, Neil Holland (all U of L signees) along with Jason Payne and MVP Cole Sturgeon ( a freshman) made the team. Some may remember Sturgeon from the Little League World Series a few years ago. Congrates to all these and the other players who made the team.

Congrats to the Aces on a good tourney .Devine pitched great last night .

Beechwood added 3 on the All A team -JR .SS Adam Gohs --JR. C Chris Miller --SOPH. Pitcher AJ Smith .

Sturgeon appears to have a very bright future ahead of him .That breaking stuff he has is nasty .

anyone know the complete team?

Congratulations. Job well done!

Is AJ Smith a reliever? Not aware of who he is? How come Hadden wasn't on the all a team or this Elliott?

Smith has relieved and started .He is a sophmore .He pitched well vs Campbellsville to get the win .Hadden was saved for O-Cath .Elliott was not available to pitch .He went 6 2/3 Thursday .Hadden actually pitched great vs the 4th ranked team in the state .Errors were the problem to give up 3 uneraned .Another fly ball was lost in the air and dropped that should have been caught .Elliott hit the ball well but I guess not good enough to beat out the other 3 .

Congratulations AJ!

The fly ball scored an error (questionable scoring) was hit so deep the player on 3rd would have tagged and scored regardless, don't understand your reasoning for pointing this out.

If true, the error does not negate the RBI for the batter or the Earned Run charged to the pitcher.
