Buffalo Gap Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Has Henderson County started trying to find a new coach?
SportsWatch Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 The job is posted on the school district's wedsite. According to local sources a lot of interest in the position. The job will be posted for 30 days unless they see a slow down in applicants. Of course if a present head coach gets the job that puts their school in a time crunch and then we have the domino affect.
theguru Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 To echo SW I hear there is a lot of interest too. Given the timing of the opening the interest may surprise some, however, the right coach should end up with a program on the level of the state's elite in a short period of time which is why there is all the interest. Does anyone know who has applied or shown interest in the Hendo job?
Cynical Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Biggest school in the state...ZERO State Finals appearances in the last 31 years...all promise, fallen-short production.
woodsrider Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Biggest school in the state...ZERO State Finals appearances in the last 31 years...all promise, fallen-short production. 1. Henderson isn't the biggest school in the state. 2. Who promised you anything?
woodsrider Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Guru I still haven't heard any names. They are being pretty tight lipped about this.
Cynical Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 1. Henderson isn't the biggest school in the state. 2. Who promised you anything? Sorry, real big school, ZERO finals appearances in the past 31 years. No one promised me anything.
gchs_uk9 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Biggest school in the state...ZERO State Finals appearances in the last 31 years...all promise, fallen-short production. Don't forget that because they are such a big school they annually have to compete with the Big Three to get to the finals.
westsider Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Henderson has been an underachiever for most of the last two or three decades, but it doesn't mean it isn't one of the state's most attractive jobs.
Cynical Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Henderson has been an underachiever for most of the last two or three decades, but it doesn't mean it isn't one of the state's most attractive jobs. Very true. Great facilities. Don't know about the community though.
RADIO GUY Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Well they did run duffer off Well I suppose that it can be looked at like this. There is duffers side of things and there is the "communities" side of things and then there is the truth that both sides see and know, but can not agree on.
