No one has proven to me that CCH couldn't figure out a way to pay for lights IF CCH wanted lights. You guys are proving that point. Marge Schott donation, alumni providing free labor, alumni making large contributions, boosters fundraising...etc. Not saying there's a slush fund somewhere, just saying CCH has the means to come up with money for lights if CCH wants lights.

Opposing teams can see, on average, 5 CCH home games. Surely CCH won't go to see one team on Friday nights for half the season when they need to scout their next opponent??? How can you say that a team can scout their opponent for the following week AND scout CCH for the coming weeks, is not a disadvantage for CCH? There's a reason you only exchange the prior two week's films and not the entire season. Concede and be done with it, CC.

One negative about Saturday games, most of the time the entire coaching staff for the following weeks game can attend, instead of frosh coaches scouting. Big disadvantage, IMO. A lot can be learned from seeing a team live, opposed to on film.

Never said it was "laying around". I simply said that if they want it, they can get it. Which means money is not really an issue. You've already proven that with your comment about saving money and donations. Krumps hasn't cut back on much to save that money.

They just put in a new indoor baseball facility and grotto, money is not an issue. If they want it, they can get it.

Personally, it would have little to do with the football program. It's the benefit of allowing all of the traffic at night that currently they can not have. Of course, more football practice time (whether it's the middle school teams or high school teams) is part of that.

I'd say that money has little to no impact on the decision.

I'm sorry, I missed the bolded part in your initial post. If they move to the district, I doubt the KHSAA would keep them from playing if it truly is an academic issue. Transferring without moving is a different story.

NCLB has zero bearing on athletics, and it shouldn't.

I know, as a former player, that there wasn't one thing a peer could say to me to keep me from playing the sport I love. Although, I've been warned that girls aren't as simple as boys so.................. (j/k: I have a girl of my own) (Okay: Because I have a girl of my own I know that it is true)

That would be unfortunate and a decision that they will most likely grow to regret. It's on the parent's to get the kids thinking clearly. You only get 4 years and things aren't always going to go your way. Live it to the fullest.

I've never understood the, "The game was closer than the score" or "The game was worse than the score" argument. No it wasn't, if it was the score would indicate that. You can't "whip" anyone if you score three times and they score twice; I don't care what sport it is. Well, I guess that could be considered a whipping in soccer.

1) You can be encouraged by a loss, and that's okay. 2) You can be discouraged by a win, and that's okay. All teams have different expectations. One team has a goal of being national champs and the other of getting better and rebuilding a program. Not sure why everyone gets offended about it. One thing that's glaring is that CCH was in much worse shape than most realize, I think. "Getting better" hasn't been the goal at CCH since when, late 70's - early 80's?

Wouldn't bet on that happening.

Honestly, Luke was in a win-win situation. Glad we'll get a better chance to see him continue his college career.

And ask yourself this, will the Red Sox be willing to watch someone through the summer, plus bring them to Fenway for a game, when they're only offering $1,000? No chance. MLB teams have the upper-hand at all times. The kid can make a choice that will be great for him either way. The college has a chance of being screwed though.

If so, does anyone think spring football would be eliminated?
