When a team has a player like Bonner they need to find a way to get him as many touches per game as possible. But it is what it is. If the Coach does not call his number what else can you do? Nothing. I have a good feeling about this game. I think it will be another Ashland Russell slug fest. The team that can control the line of scrimmage will come out on top in my opinion.

How many times does a person have to say they were wrong. Once again I was confused. Ram brought that to my attention and I appreciated it. I apologize once again to the Raceland fans.

In speaking with Rawlings this afternoon regarding the Footballs they have assured me that the quality if there. Yes they would say that. You may like the old color better and that is Okay. What do the players think? That is the real question.

Agree 100%. I have been at games where Russell could have scored 100 plus points if Coach McGloan wanted them to. A good Coach knows when to call off the dogs and gives the younger kids time to play. I have even seen McGloan refuse penalties against another teams. It all revolves around who the Head Coach is. Nothing more.

If the game were being played on BGP we know who will be the winner. I sure hope the players at Raceland are not over looking Fairview like the fans are. I think Fairview deserves at least a little respect from the Raceland contingency at least until they have won the game. Then start the the in your face comments. I have been a Raceland fan for many years and will continue to be for many more but some of the comments made do have a tendency to put a bad taste in your mouth. Have a little respect for Fairview. They just might have a lot of big talkers eating crow.

Now just how reliable are they?

I could care less where Russell is rated on the poll. I just hate to see a team like Fairview not given credit where credit is due.

I have a problem with Ashland being #4. Why is it that no other teams get any respect when the are 3-0. Let Ashland beat Russell and earn that spot above Fairview. This is the same biased stuff that we saw last year. You would not see this with any other team in the area accept Ashland and that is why it puts a bad taste in every ones mouth.

I would agree with you that Ashland has the fastest one player on the field. I'm not so sure that man for man that Ashland will have an advantage in that area unless thay had a lot of transfers in from last years team. They may although. I'm sure you would not have made that statement without watching both teams play. Don't underestimate Boyd County. When Ashland plays Boyd County, BC will have the Best player on the field. I can assure you of that. I have seen both teams play.

Both teams are very good. I look for Fairview to win this one 28 to 27.

Can Russell loose this game to Ashland? Absolutely!!! I believe that Ashland's players will be up for this game just like the Russell players will. Anyone who makes the statement "we will win" or words to that effect need to look back at just how close these two have battled over the past ten years. Even last year when Ashland had a below average team they still competed with Russell to the end. I think Ashland may see some things that they don't normally see in a Russell team. Three running backs that can break it all the way on any given play. Then just when you think you have the run stopped Russell goes to the air. Cordell does not throw the ball much, but when he does he is accurate and has a good touch. Based on this I think Russell will be able to hold thier own against the Mighty Tomcats. I understand that Ashland has Carter and they have home field advantage and they are a 5-A team and Russell is only a 3-A team! Good luck to both teams. Russell 35 Ashland 21

You were probable against the green softballs the girls use. White was good so stick with it. Or the orange ping pong balls. Or how about turf. Grass was good enouigh. It's called change! Accept it. Change is good.

If it's yellow to you then go for it. I would stay out of them diapers if I were you. I like tan myself.

Why are some people so resistant to change? So what that it is tan instead of brown. What is the big issue? We still have people who think footballs are made of pigskin. How long has it been since they stopped using pigskin for football? Maybe 50 years. Sometimes change is good and sometimes it is bad. But lets face it most of the time it is for the good of everyone. I remember when computers came out and we had to use them at work. You should have heard the cry babies about that one. Take someones computer away for a day and see what happens. If I were a gambling man I would bet that most of the ones complaining have not even seen one in real life let alone touched it.

Why not make it three, Texas, Kentucky and ........... Why wait implement it. KHSAA can send a memo out to all high schools and Refs and make it happen. Why wait till a youngster is hurt when we all know the rule will change. Do it now.

I did not know that. So the rules are exactly the same in every state?

I have seen two High school football games this year and two horse collar tackles. In both instances the player being tackled was bent backwards to the point that I was concerned that the player was injured. I have to wonder why KHSAA feels that it is safe at the High school level for this type of tackling. When it has been determined that it is unsafe in the NFL and also at the college level. I know we are all a little slower in Kentucky but when you see the NFL and the NCAA giving 15 yard penalties because it is unsafe you would think that KHSAA would follow the leader. Just my thoughts.

They took a knee on first down. Then attempted a pass that was incomplete. Then a run that failed. Then they lost the ball on forth down on there own 15 yard line with 2 seconds on the clock. Boyd attempted a pass that was in the receivers hands and he dropped it. End of half.

Congratulations Tomcats. You have that win now. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations to the Red Devils on a very good win. This was a lot closer game than the score indicates. Boyd is a very good football team with an outstanding QB. A.J. Cordell was exceptional also for Russell throwing two TD passes in key situations. Great game A.J. Congratulations to both teams on playing a very hard fought game.

They lost. Don't get me wrong I like Ashland Football. I would just like to see them earn a spot in the super 7 with a win not a loss.
