If Johnson Central Wins against Belfry in a close game should Belfry remain the number one team in 3-A or should Louisville Central take back the number one position? Or should Breathitt become number one? Johnson Central won their bout with Louisville Central. I personally think that Belfry should remain number one based on the amount of games that Louisville Central has lost. I realize these losses were against quality oponents.

You are so right. In this day in age everyone is covering themselves.

I think Morehead State University would be an excellent place or Lexington.

Every year or so we hear about teams who get into trouble over ineligable players. I'm sorry KHSAA has guidelines set on how to deal with student transfers. I just do not understand how a school can place themselves in such bad position by allowing these students to play before it is approved. Now we hear about an 8th grader playing varsity football. I personally do not know if it is against the rules but you would think the Coach would. Have the Coaches not been informed about the rules? Are the rules unclear and leave coaches hanging out there? I'm sorry I just don't get it.

Hey good idea. Show sportsmanship and play at Russell. I do have to wonder just what KHSAA was doing when they came up with that. Maybe they need to rethink it.

You won't hear us complain. We like the CAM. Truthfully we all know it's not right. It is an advantage. I would think that KHSAA would look at these things before hand. Now just maybe they did and had no choice. That I don't know. Any way three tripps to the CAM would be great if we get that far.

There are many teams out there that are having challenging seasons this year. Lewis County is at the top of the list. I also watched them play one game this year. They had a total of 19 players of which 18 played and one I'm told was a 8th grader who dressed for the game and he worked very hard on the sidlines helping his team. They are without a doubt on the top of another list and that is competative spirit. If my recollection serves me right they came out in their first series and drove the ball down the field to the Russell 6 yard line. The drive ended there but Lewis County never gave up. They played each and every down as if it were the last. Andy Downing, the QB threw passes to Britt and completed 24 that night. Russell put in the reserves and Lewis continued to play with what they had. It was all they had. Life is not always about winning and loosing on the score board. The Lewis county football team is a winner in everyones heart. They never gave up.

Thats kind of what I expected. I just hope they don't mess up. I really want to see them in Louisville. Who ever represents the east will be ready.

Everyone goes through their ups and downs. Ashland will come back just as mighty and good as they are known to be. Let it go happy ol' dad. Next year is a clean slate. Ashland will come back you can count on that.

Congratulations Red Devils. I was very impressed with the play of David Bailey. He played very well. He has the talent and ability to become one of the Russell great backs if he continues to play like he did last night. Congratulations on being named MVP. I stand corrected. Tyler Jones played the whole game on both sides of the ball with no signs of a limp. He should have played and I said he should not. I was wrong. I'll bet that ankle is still sore though. Russell limited the turn overs and protected the ball very well. I also noticed John Cornwell played an excellent game.

This may be very true. I know what a bad night is like. I wish them well and IMO will be pushed around in Louisville by Belfry, Russell, or Breathitt. When I say pushed I mean the line of scrimmage will be dominated. Then again maybe Central will smack one of these eastern teams in the mouth. That I don't think will happen but you never know. Someone may have a bad night as you say.

Ya the AP rankings would be a good idea. They really have it together. Look I don't have a problem with it the way it is. I have no dog in this fight. Got that from watching the Vick interview.

So is this just for X and T. I would like to see Russell play Befry for the 3-A Championship. For several years they were the two best teams but got no action from the KHSAA. I guess life is not fair.

Is there a reason why T and X are not in the same region so they would not play for the Championship? It seems to me that they should be playing each other for the regional championship.
